Bishop Farm Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #2 of 3 Lisbon B&B and Inns
Reviewed 10 October 2011

This is simply the best B&B I’ve ever stayed at. The hospitality of the Salter family (Maggie, Annie and Dan) is outstanding! Maggie’s breakfast is a treat and the rooms (I stayed in a room in the Main building as well as in two of the cozy little cottages on the premises) very clean and well kept. I will definitely come back the next time I visit the White Mountains.

We rented a cabin at Bishop Farm. It was clean, cozy and well equipped. It was delightful to sit out on the porch and enjoy the scenery and chickens. The hosts couldn't have been friendlier. Can't wait to return.

We stayed at this wonderful B&B in late Sept. 2011 and thorougly enjoyed it. Annie was just incredible, concerned only with our comfort and relaxation. Excellent food, very clean rooms and enjoyable company with the other guests. Truly a must see place and we absolutely will be back again someday. Thank you Annie for the wonderful memories.

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic but choose any room in the main house as breakfast is included with main hou...

We booked two nights at Bishop Farm primarily based on TripAdvisor recommendations and were absolutely pleased. Annie and her family are excellent hosts and take a lot of pride in their property.

We stayed in one of the cottages (Cannon Mountain) which was lovely, private, and relaxing. The room, kitchenette and bed were all clean, comfortable and good quality. The hosts provide information on area activities and places to eat. The cottages do not include breakfast, but again, there is a nice kitchenette with a spacious refrigerator for cooking or keeping leftovers.

There are nice hiking trails around the property, ranging from very brief to longer walks/runs. The location is close to lovely attractions such as Franconia Notch S.P., Cannon Mountain or Crawford Notch--all which are worth a visit.

Early reviews complained about road noise, but honestly, we heard nothing in our rooms and had very peaceful sleep. Highly recommend Bishop Farm. We'll be back!

Room Tip: If you want privacy, would highly recommend the cottages!

Well, what can we say? This English couple were blown away by the sheer excellence and genuine warmth of the Salter ladies welcome and service. They, along with their brother, have created a little piece of heaven in New Hampshire. We stayed in Lost River Cottage as part of our New England tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip to have met and talked with Annie, Maggie and Heather in the surroundings of this beautiful place. The cottage could not be faulted and we sixty-somethings felt like kids again cooking on the fire-pit under the moon, and to sit and talk on the front porch till bedtime was magical. At our time of life it's hard to say if we'll be back, but we will if we can, however, what we can do is to wholeheartedly recommend this place and these wonderful people as a terrific place to spend some time. It occurred to us that for sheer exuberence and energy, Annie could have given her Old West namesake, Annie Oakley a good run for her money. Thankyou girls for being you!

Paul & Di, York, North Yorkshire, England.

Room Tip: The cottages are all good, as are the rooms, just depends on the style you want.
