The owners & their sister couldn't be nicer & more helpful. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the Pemi River. Great location 5 minutes from Franconia Notch State Park, including the plume gorge, the basin & Echo Lake. And their swimming recommendation for the Upper and Lower Falls off the Kangamungus Trail was fabulous - swimming holes that are the very definition of summer fun. And definitely walk up Sabbaday Falls trail, & the cog rail up Mt Washington.

my family and i just recently stayed here because it was the only place in this area that would actually let you keep your pet in the cabin while you were out for the day seeing the sights! which was a great thing! all you have to do is check in every once in a while to make sure your pet is okay which they really didnt make you do all we had to do was let them know that we were leaving for the day and that our pet was in the cabin! as for the cabins if you want a screened in porch i would not get cabin 12 that is the one we stayed in and it had no screened porch the porch was open so you really couldnt sit out there at night with the bugs it also had only a couple chairs on the deck no table but it did have a picnic table on the ground between our cabin and the one next door. the bedrooms were also very small and we had wished the beds were a bit larger since it was my husband and i and four children that were in the cabin which we got the largest cabin they had and it was still very cramped. but all in all for the price they charge compared to the other places in the area we cant complain to much. they have no amenities like others in the area as you will see when you drive around alot have pools and the like whereas this one i think gets lots of guests that like to bring there pets on vacation! the people that own it were very friendly and helpful and that was nice! if i were to take my pet on vacation again i would most likely stay there again but i would pick a different cabin so that we could enjoy a screened in porch. but if i had not taken my pet on vacation i think i would have picked a more updated cabin spot to stay in that area! but all and all we had a great time and it was a great first family vacation with all four of our children for the first time!

My wife and I try to make it a point to head up north at least once a year and we always make Pemi's a big part of our yearly getaway. Each time we make the trip up north to the White Mountains we always wonder what changes we are going to find "this time". The Caston Family have aquired Pemi's in resent years and are working extremely hard at renovating the entire establishment. Cabin 5 the cabin we stayed in on my most resent visit has been totally and completely renovated from the ground up right down to the electical wiring.

We love Pemi's for many many reasons but let me tell you this one thing we know for sure. For the price range they charge you for all the different cabins they have to offer you, it definately is a tremendous bargain for all you get for your money here! We enjoyed the fireplace and we savored a nice hot cup of complimentary coffee sitting on the screened in back porch while listening to the river flow past as we uploaded our pictures on our laptop using the high speed wifi provided as part of our stay! Many thanks to the Caston Family for making our lastest stay at Pemi's as always a memorable stay!

Pemi has provided us with a great get away since 1988. It is located in the center of NH sites like The Flume, Basin, Whales Tail, Loon, Lost River and a short ride to the Polar Caves. Those are all great but we stay at Pemi because Kim, Rick, Nate and Briana treat us like family. You could not find better hosts. Thier hospitality and service allows us to just relax. Our dog gets to come along for the vacation as well. If you have'nt stayed at Pemi yet, you should.
