I've been coming to Cotton Cove Cottages for 40 years. The cottages are rustic - but in a good way. Each cottage has two bedrooms, a living room/dining room with a futon couch for additional sleepers, and a great, fully-screened patio with another table/chairs for outdoor dining, a bathroom with a shower stall, a fully stocked kitchen with stove/oven/micro/toaster/coffee maker/pots/pans/full size fridge and every cup/plate/serving utensil you could need. If your cabin doesn't have it - check with the office and they will get it for you. The cabins have crank out windows and a heater that keeps it toasty on those cooler nights. The linens that are provided are soft and clean but you need to bring your own beach towels. There is also wi-fi so you can stay just as connected to reality as you want.
The property itself is amazing with tall trees and an enormous amount of shore line. There are boats to rent, rowboats/paddleboats/canoes for use, a rope swing and play area for the kids, and a floating dock that is great for lounging on. At night, there is aways a fire at the huge stone fire pit where everyone gathers.
The cottages have been passed down for three generations - the current owners live on site and the previous owners live across the cove, so if there are ever any problems or questions someone is always around to help you out.
