I am a seasonal camper at Crescent Campground. It has lovely wooded lots with friendly campers and the swimming area has a sandy beach. The water at the beach is murky with lily pads and clumps of grass floating and a dock that is only held by one anchor so it moves.
When I first came here there was a propane station with 100 pound cylinders that the owner delivered and hooked up. NOW GONE. Now you have to unhitch and fill your propane at a local propane service. I use 30 pound cylinders and they are quite heavy. There was a small above ground pool to swim that I dearly miss. NOW GONE. There was an office and small store to get ice cream treats, sodas and memorabilia. NOW GONE There was a laundry room with a coin operated washer and dryer. No coin changer (used to get it at the store. Washer & dryer has been broken for at least 2 months. NO Signs of fixing or replacing this year. There was FREE WiFi now there is none unless you pay about $100 a year and 9 other people share and you need to pay another $100 to get it in your camper. If you want to rent a site there is no one on site during the week until evening to assist.

Boring!!! Boring!!! Boring!!! Nothing to do at the so called camp ground especially if you have kids. There so called park has 2 swings which your kid can always get on because no one else is there. No kids activities they say they do but they don't. The new owners have the personality of tree frogs and are so stuck up. There is no way they should own a camp ground. If you do decide to stay there you matters well just throw your money out the window before you even register.Registsr oh ya if the store is even open. The people that camp at crescent are really nice I just feel bad there in for a long no fun season. And it's to bad it used to be a really nice camp ground.

We stayed at this campground over Columbus Day weekend 2007. We had site #48 which was right next to the lake. Great site! Saw a couple of loons while kayaking on the lake.

Pros: Nice spacious campsites, great rec room w/large TV, pool table and lots of books. Reasonable rate, although due to being late in the season and amenities being out of order (bathroom), we still payed full price. Very spacious shower-you have your own dressing area w/sink, mirror and locking door.

Cons: The bathroom that was closest to us was closed due to being so late in the season. So the walk to the bathroom/shower was a pain, especially in the middle of the night. Also, the camp store was very limited w/items, again because of the end of the season. Also, the church across the lake chimed it's bell EVERY HOUR! Very annoying at midnight! The trash in the shower wasn't emptied the entire weekend. Also, the shower was a bit dirty, again I think because of the time of the season, staff was down. The spot light on the beach came on every night at 9PM and stayed on until daylight. That kind of put a damper on the nightly campfires.

I would suggest this campground but prior to Labor Day. It seems that they are only semi functional after that.
