We had a very nice stay. This hotel is easily the newest and nicest in town. It is a 2 minute walk to the old town "strip". Clean and comfortable with plenty of parking. The best rooms are those that do not overlook the parking lot (quieter and they have a view of the valley.) Note that many of the shops and restaurants in Virginia City are closed mid-week from September to May.

Room tip: Avoid rooms that overlook the parking lot

I would have given it "5" stars, however, the wifi was unsecured and impossible to connect. They did give us a password, but as I stated it was already unsecured so we had little to zero connection. Our room was clean and the staff was incredibly friendly! Even though it was SUPER hot during the day, I did require a sweater at night because the winds picked up and it was chilly.

Thank you for your response. Our WiFi is secure and does require a password to connect but our Internet service, which is provided by AT&T, is problematic at times and for that we apologize. Unfortunately, we have no other Internet providers in the area to select from and are stuck with AT&T despite our protestations of unreliable service. We thank you for staying with us and as a token of our appreciation request that you contact us at info@silverlandusa.com, mention this review, and provide your name, email address, and the date of your stay, and we will send you a "thank you".

If there was a worse rating than terrible this place would have easily earned it. I booked a room online 3 weeks ago. Was just called and informed that my booking had been cancelled because the hotel was overbooked. Now im left without a room for that weekend and am probably going to have to cancel my vacation. Lady on the phone told me nothing could be done and after agruing with me for a few minutes hung up the phone on me without giving me her name. This hotel definitely dropped the ball on my reservation. In hindsight it might have been a blessing that my reservation got cancelled, now I dont have to deal with that wretched woman I spoke with on the phone in person. Read other reviews and it seems like this sort of thing happens a lot at this place and has been happening for years. You guys need to get it together!

Room tip: Stay somewhere else!

Check in process was friendly and quick.
Room was on second floor- elevator and luggage cart available.
Our room was light, and very clean with comfortable queen beds.
Awesome adjustable shower head and plenty of hot water with great water pressure. Lots of towels and toiletries.
Room had a table and two chairs plus an upholstered chair and ottoman. Very comfortable and great mountain view from our window.
The TV is old and on the smaller size. The window air conditioner was noisy and annoying. Our room never actually ever got cold. Room windows don't open- for insurance reasons, so no opportunity to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Maybe installing ceiling fans would help.
Rooms are not sound proof, so noisy neighbors can be an issue. Usually very quite after 11:00pm.
This inn was adequate for our three night stay and met our expectations.
In door swimming pool and jacuzzi, free coffee and juice in the morning. Visitor room on second floor had vending machines for drinks and snacks, a microwave, refrigerator, ice machine and computer for guests convenience. Couch and restroom available in the room as well.
Plenty of parking, beautiful location, out of doors seating in gazebo to enjoy the views. Close to Main Street shops and restaurants.
This was our third year visiting this Inn and we feel they have made improvements. Defiantly more comfortable and delightful than the original Virginia City miners ever enjoyed.

This appeared to be the newest hotel in Virginia City and was very nice and just a short walk up the hill (one block) to all the town has to offer. Nice indoor pool and spa. The rooms were nice as well.

Room tip: ask for a room with the view
