“Great Hotel for Great Price”
Reviewed 13 April 2007

We stayed for two nights during the first week of April for $40 per night. the rooms were very clean and we had a spectacular view form the 27th floor. The first morning we ate breakfast at the Americana restaurant across from the midway in Circus Circus. Some other resturants that we really liked was the buffett at Eldorado, and the Victorian buffett at the Silver Legacy. Reno sure wasn't crowed this time of the year. Many of the Virginia street shops were closed, as well as many of the streets. This led us out of town during the day. One of the places we went was Virginia city. It was really nice up there this time of the year. The temperatures were in the mid 60's making for pleasant afternoons. The Mornings were still a little chilly but nothing too cold. Back at Circus Circus we enjoyed several different circus shows, the dog show which was by far my favorite. Overrall I was verry satisfied with Circus Circus. I have stayed there many times and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Just returned from staying at Circus Circus and had a great time.
Myself and 5 friends from the uk (between the ages 22-35) stayed here. We were a little worried after reading reviews. But we had nothing to worry about everything was fine.
When booking in we were given lots of room options, we all had great views from the rooms (Strip & Stratosphere Hotel) The rooms were all very clean and the maids were great (we tipped $1 a day)
The lifts were quite busy at morning and evening but didnt have to wait too long for the next one.
The buffet restaurant is great value $11 for breakfast (£5.50 pp)
Lots of choice eg. scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, hash browns, french toast, pancakes, waffles, fruit, cereal, muffins, donuts, cakes etc
Garden Grill for evening meal, prepare yourself they are massive meals. My partner and i would often share two starters for our meal (waffle fries and chilli & popcorn chicken) this would cost about $10 for both of us to eat and you get so much that we were full.
The casinos are great in the hotel, any drink you want whilst playing eg. Corona, Bud, Vodka and mixer, water, pina colada, baileys etc from cocktail waitress just tip them a dollar note or chip and they will return with next drink within ten mins. You dont even have to be playing alot realy you could just sit at a 5c machine and they will ask you.
Deuce bus stop outside hotel(slot of fun part of circus circus) this bus travells on the strip to every hotel, buy a $5 ticket and u can travel all day on any bus. Dont worry bout missing stop the bus driver has microphone and announces every stop.
If possible try not to go out till later in the evening as this is when it is busy and alot more fun on table games, Often we would be going to bed at 1am and the hotel would just be getting busy.
If you are goin try and go for more than a week, we went for 6 days and this was no way long enough, their is so much to see.
Go and see the Bellagio Fountains (wow) Ceasers paalce, new york new york, paris etc
You could spend a day in each one.
For those of you who like shopping, shopping mall near wynn hotel (bus stop outside) its massive. Big catwalk in middle of mall, models showing clothes you can buy in mall.
hope you find these tips usefull.
Any questions im happy to help with.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous about staying here. We arrived on the afternoon of March 5th, and check-in was fine. The staff was very quick, and polite, and took care of all in our group quickly. Our rooms were in the North tower, 9th floor. We really had no problems with the elevators during our week. Some people complain about the tram, but we only took it once. You can now walk over to the casino, without going outside from the north tower, and it is much faster than the tram. The rooms were clean, and a pretty nice room for the weekday rate of $49. Housekeeping was always there before 10 am, and did a great job.

Casino was a little on the "smokey" side, but was only there passing through, as I spent most of the time gambiling at Silver Legacy. Didn't sample too much of the food there, but the pizza place there was pretty good.

Airport shuttle was good, but if you have a early flight out, it doesn't start running until 5 am, so there is a mad rush if you want to take the shuttle. Might be easier, just to take a cab to the airport.

Overall, a nice experience, and I would stay there again.

Stayed there on March 8 for one night. Not very crowded at all. At check in the front desk clerk gave us all kinds of floor/room options to choose from. We ended up choosing the 7th floor for "Lucky 7". We got adjoining rooms in the North tower. Both were new looking, beds were comfy, pillows flat, large, clean bathroom. A small TV(19in?), only kid channel was Cartoon Network for our 3 yr. old. My wife says the rooms here are bigger than the El Dorados.
People have complained of slow elevators, rude staff, lousy food. Didn't find any of this on our visit. Minuses are yes, casino is smoky, even when not crowded and the heat / ac unit is very loud when running. Food at the buffet was very good as also at the Americana Cafe, although it took a bit to get our food. All in all a good stay.

I've stayed here many times over the years, and have usually found it to be a good(and cheap) experience. My only real gripe over the past two or three stays was that the in room coffee seemed to have disappeared. Fortunately, my sharp eyed partner
read the fine print on one of the room brochures, and we were able to request an in room pot and coffee from hosekeeping at no additional charge. I've always found the rooms to be clean and in good condition, and given the price, would be hard pressed to think of a better place to stay in Reno.
