The Atlantis buffet is not only a feast for the palette, but a feast for the eyes. We went to the Friday night seafood buffet at the request of our birthday teen.
The food is plentiful, with great variety, while presented in a visually appealing manner highlighting freshness. This buffet is a sure thing to satisfy all family members with a carving station, Italian, American, Mexican, Asian selections that includes a pho station, and a Mongolian station. The dessert bar is a diabetic's dream. No really because there is a good variety of sugar free offerings amidst the not so insulin friendly cotton candy, pies, cakes, cookies, tarts, and gelato selections.
Being that this is a popular buffet in Reno, it is understandably busy. Despite the throngs of people coming in, our cashier, Madison, managed to develop a quick rapport with my daughter of the "same" name (Madisen), and indeed all of us. The server and busser staff were quick, attentive, and friendly. It's refreshing to have a staff greet a busy crowd with genuine willingness to serve their customers.
Of course as the title suggests, the great atmosphere and variety of food, comes with a price point that relegates this kind of outing to "treat" status, and not a once a week affair.
