The food is good to excellent and the service is excellent. MY wife and I prefer the weekend menu to the mid-week menu at the Buffet. There are many other food items to choose from on weekends. A better choice on weekdays would be Mili's the coffee shop or Brew Brothers during mid week. We had a great time gambling and dinning but it was rather costly. It was very nice to see familiar faces and nice people that we have known for years. We lost as usual and have to take the long drive home. It's a lot easier drive when you are younger.

For our last night in Reno, we wanted to take the boys for their first casino buffet experience. We narrowed it down to the Peppermill and Eldorado ultimately choosing the latter as we were staying in a hotel right down the street. We arrived around 6:30 PM on a Sunday night and were seated relatively quickly. Price paid was $17.99 per adult and $9.99 per child. Total for all four of us with taxes was $60.59.

The Chinese food offered (lo mein, fried rice, stir fried vegetables, steamed buns, soup) looked as though it'd been sitting for awhile and largely picked through. The prime rib was good while the pork ribs were dry. The accompanying sauce though saved the dry ribs. Remainder of the selections was nothing special. Lingua (tongue) tostadas was offered which were quite delicious. Menudo was available too and was fair. Cocktail shrimp came full poop shoot in tact so there was not much shrimp eaten.

The best part of the meal was the dessert offerings. From the bread pudding to the cheesecake to the gelato, we liked the smorgasbord of sweets the best. Service was good as our server kept the table clean of finished plates and made sure our drinks were always full.

Fair experience but far short of the Vegas buffet experience. Next time, we will check out the Peppermill.

Happy Thanksgiving Day Buffet! There is a ton of food at this buffet so I didn't even try the turkey! Something for everyone - even the pickiest eaters. They had the buffet menu posted in several places around the casino and walkways so you knew what they were serving. Can't say that it was the best buffet I ever ate at, but it was good and no one walked away hungry.
We went over a holiday week so prices were raised to over $30, but we would have paid that much for a single plate at a fancy restaurant with no dessert. For me, the best part of the buffet were the crab legs, but it was fun to try a variety of small bites and multiple desserts.
We got in line around 4pm and had about an hour wait. It was easy to step out of line and grab a drink for the gang to help pass the time. When we left at 6:30pm, the line was double and probably over a 2 hour wait. As good as it was, can't say I would have waited in that line. Staff was really friendly and quick with drink refills. Always saying: Welcome!, My Pleasure, Thank You for Coming. I'd definitely come back to The Buffet!

We live in Las Vegas and have a lot of “buffet” experiences to call on. This place was pretty busy with lots of families with kids. The buffet was average at best with the exception of a couple items. Their carving station smoked brisket was absolutely delicious. The fish they served was also fairly good. Most items were over cooked and not very tasty. Their salad area did provide the wife and I with at least a decent selection, with the exception of the grape/cherry tomatoes which tasted literally like garbage.

The big standout besides the brisket was their amaretto and coffee gelato. Extremely tasty.

Also, another turn off was that they would not honor their discount with their players card as they show on line. The cashier advised us that you could only use points and that they did not have player card discounts. Either the website is wrong or someone is lying.

We opted not to eat breakfast the next morning and went to Millies24 in the same casino (see that review before eating there)
