“Loved our stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2012

This was our first time in Vegas, and we are so glad we stayed at the Mirage. Beautiful view of the strip, clean modern room. After walking through almost every hotel on the strip, we still loved our choice. Something about the Mirage that will have us comming back....loved it

Some friends and I stayed here a few weeks ago for 5 nights. We had a great stay, the rooms were big and clean. We were also very central to everything.

We had a great strip view room. I wish the windows were cleaner to provide a better view but we still enjoyed it. The room had minor wear but was clean. The beds were very comfortable. They were able to extend our stay, without moving rooms, with no trouble. That was nice. Their room service was very friendly. We did need security to fix the room safe (our fault) and he was very quick to arrive and very friendly. I wish their hotel desk staff was as friendly but I've found all Vegas desk staff to be a little stressed and short. I wasn't prepared to hear the volcano so much in the room, that was annoying when we needed to get to bed early one night. But we dealt with it. The bathrooms weren't as big as other Vegas hotels but the extra mirrors in the room did help when one of us needed to do hair or makeup. We did have a chest of drawers that refused to stay shut, that was mildly annoying but no reflection on the hotel itself. We really enjoyed our stay and we loved the pool. The best one we've found in Vegas so far and we'd return just for it! The Beatles Love show as also fantastic and so convienent. The only real complaint we had was when we returned midday to change to use the pool we found housekeeping was just starting on our room. We had to wait to change etc until she was finished. She didn't speak good english so we left and returned 30 minutes later and she was done. But it looked like she rushed cleaning the room. We didn't have any problems with housekeeping for the rest of our stay. We'd recommend the hotel, it was very pleasant.

Stayed two weeks at The Mirage so had a long time to find out all the highs and lows. Not many lows as far as we could see, apart from the small bathroom (door nearly hits the loo when opening) and slow room clean (not done until 3 in the afternoon) hence only four stars. The room itself was fantastic with amazing views up and down the strip. We asked for a room high up as it was our Anniversary and they put us on the 23rd floor. Very kindly they left a bottle of Champagne as a gift in our room to welcome us! The elevators seem to come within 30 secs. and never took longer either up or down. We had absolute politeness from staff in all areas. Cravings Buffet very good but not quite as good as The MGM for same price. Japonnaise restaurant excellent and California Pizza Restaurant very good. BB King restaurant very disappointing, poor service and poor food and the blues singing was nothing special. On the other hand Senor Frog in TI was excellent and great fun. Well worth joining MLife for the rewards as we had a significant discount off our bill at the end. The Mirage is well positioned for the middle of The Strip with a Deuce stop just outside. The Dolphins were worth a visit. The pool area was very enjoyable with plenty of spaces to find shade if you needed it, no matter what time of day you went down. Towel service well run and drinks girls coming round all the time, but we used the free water dispensers, the music was enjoyable and non intrusive.

Room Tip: Ask if you can have a strip view room on one of the higher floors.

Having stayed at many hotels in Vegas I was pleasantly surprised by The Mirage. Check in was quick, large rooms (only downside is the smallish bathroom), pool is amazing and never had any trouble finding a sun bed even on Saturday. Good selection of restaurants and Rhumbar was a great bar as was 1 Oak nightclub (free entry for guests). Would definately go back.
