“THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY”
Reviewed 2 May 2012

I know there are many views on where to stay in Las Vegas but for my money it will be the Venetian every time.

This is why
- Location, you're close to the middle of the "strip" which means you can walk to almost everywhere
- There is a HUGE selection of entertainment and shopping in the immediate area
- Service is great
- Rooms are HUGE (but so they should be).
- Pools are great and big enough that families, singles and couples can all enjoy themselves.

I stopped on my last trip to Vegas April 21 2012 and th casino was under construction the buzz saws were so loud we had to leave. The constuction is right there behind curtains so your ears are going to bleed. I asked if there was another casino floor and the dealer said You'd have to walk to Palazzo. I pity anyone staying there for full price. Check before you go,ask whats going on.
I have stayed there a few times it is awesome, everything about it. They are going to stop Phanthom of the Opera in Sept. 2012 so if you want to see it. Just wanted to warn people, the main Casino was sooooo beautiful, all gone now.

My husband and I have traveled to the Venetian for an annual business conference for the past several years. It's a great resort for business conferences, but also for couples and friends trips. The suites are really large, and include a king bed and a nice L-shaped sofa. There's a table with three chairs and a desk. The bathroom is fabulous - and includes a dressing table. I love the pools - plenty of outdoor pools to chose from. So no matter where the sun is in the sky, you can find a spot in the sun or in the shade out by at least one of the pools. Great restaurants in the resort or within easy walking distance. Great shopping in the resort and right across the street at the Fashion Show Mall and the Caesar's Forum shops.

I have stayed at Venetian many times because of an annual convention in Las Vegas.

The location is perfect on the strip with a shopping mall just across the road. It's also an easy walk to Belaggio, Paris and other hotels. Venetian is really just one part of a big hotel complex which includes Palazzo and Venezia towers. In reality they are all the same "hotel" and I have often got a room at Palazzo when checking in at the Venetian. Yes, they are marketed as separate hotels but they are intimately connected and you don't really experience them as two individual hotels, more like two buildings in the complex.

Rooms are big but I don't agree that they are suites, a big nice room though with a separate "living area". Bathroom is excellent with walk-in shower and a bath tub. For $150 this is a very good value for money. A similar room in New York will probably cost you $1000 or more.

When it comes to room, you might want to avoid Venezia Towers and stay in the main building. All of my colleagues in Towers experienced bad or non-existent wifi. Also, it's a bit of a walk from the Towers to the main building where all the action is. If you're not desperate for a view, stay on the lower floors as you will have shorter elevator waiting time. The rooms are very quiet except for late time party people roaming the corridor. If you value more silence, choose a room far away from the elevator at the end of the corridor.

The bed is top notch an I guarantee that you will sleep very well. The minibar is well stocked although a bit expensive.

This is of course a five star quality hotel although it lacks the personal touch. It's more like a giant luxury factory. With 5000+ rooms this is expected. I can without hesitation give highest grade for this hotel. It's very nice and suits everybody (families, honeymooners, business people).

Room Tip: Avoid Venezia Towers if you value wifi connection. Stay at a lower floor to avoid elevator queues.

Just returned from 5 nights at The Venetian.A truly beautiful hotel, very grand and opulent surroundings, until you get to the pool! The management have decided to allow Tao nightclub to run an all day Beach Party bar in the far corner of the pool area which plays very loud nightclub music all day.Great if you are 21 and can afford to stay at a 5* hotel drinking all afternoon, not so good if you want a couple of hours peace to relax before going out for the evening(you might have gathered I am not 21,but I'm not a fuddy duddy either). This is my 3rd trip to Las Vegas, previously I stayed at Caesars Palace and The Wynn, and both are far superior.I asked someone if people complain about the noise, and was told they complain all the time, but Tao is the hottest ticket in town,so it will stay! There is another pool behind the bar area which is quieter, but there is no view and the noise from the air con unit on the roof drones a bit!
On the plus side the interior of the hotel and St Mark's square area is beautiful and has some really nice restaurants, especially Wolfgang Puck's where the service was superb.would I stay here again?..No.Couldn't relax around the pool, too many "21" year olds slopping drink everywhere and crowding the lifts using bad language. It feels that the pool area is becoming out of control, and the powers that be have sold out to make more money, not interested in our age group.

Room Tip: try to avoid overlooking the pool if you don't want to wake up at 6am with the drum and bass mus...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for providing valuable feedback on your recent stay at The Venetian|The Palazzo. I am very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the interior of the property, including St. Mark’s Square and Postrio Restaurant. Still, I would like to apologize on behalf of The Venetian|The Palazzo and our team for your experience during your stay. I am disheartened to learn that you were not able to enjoy your pool experience. With the summer season in full swing, our 11 pools tend to attract a lot of attention. For our guests who desire a quieter pool atmosphere, we do offer the Venezia Pools, located on the lobby level of the Venezia Tower.

Again, I extend my apologies and hope that this atypical experience does not deter you from visiting us in the future.

Kind Regards,

Guest Relations
