“Never seen a 4 star hotel, more like 2 star”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2012

Recently stayed here for 5 nights in July. When we got there the carpets on the hallway were filthly and dismal. Our room was poor to say the least, there was a pair of old trainers (sneakers) in the draw along with dirty clothes. My Stepdaughter had dried blood on her duvet which added to our misery.

I had to complain four times (once to desk, once to the Concierge, and to two Managers) over a peroid of 24 hours before they agreed to change rooms (please bear in mind, during this time our sheets were not changed nor were the clothes removed) I will add that I have never ever complained previously regarding accommodation or resturants.

The staff are rude, poor communicators and useless. I have been to Vegas 3 times, stayed in Motels when travelling to California and San Francisco and this hotel was poor.

The pool is basic and mirror's that of a self catering apartment pool in Spain. The only good thing was the pool bar and the barman called Neil who was a top bloke.

This hotel is 2 star at best and my advice would be to avoid like the plague and go to the Luxor or even New York, New York if looking for a budget hotel on the strip.

Room Tip: Simple!!! Do not stay here

I love love love this hotel! The rooms are fabulous, clean, and the products are amazing! The mall downstairs is great if you need to run and grab something that you may have forgotten without having to travel across the street to Caesar's. Planet Dailies is so good for lunch and breakfast, there is a PF Changs that is there as well. And of course Starbucks!! LOve this hotel, been here 3 times and will always stay here!

We stayed at Planet Hollywood for 9 nights in July 2012. We got room 1710, it did overlook the roof & you could hear the generator outside, but it did also have a really nice view of sunrise mountain. Room was a nice size, clean, sure the furniture isn't in mint condition but we are in Vegas after all.

Staff in the hotel were excellent, always friendly. The guys on the concierge desk were exceptional, we had some trouble with an excursion we'd booked & as we'd left no credit card details at the desk we were unable to use our room phone. They kindly offered us the use of the phone on their desk twice, which was really nice of them.

We ate mainly at Planet Dailies, because it was well priced, handy & the food was delicious! Also tried the Earl of Sandwich on several occasions, but avoided it when the line was backed out into the Miracle Mile! Sandwiches were excellent, my favourite was the Hawaiian BBQ!

The casino is very confusing, you think you've got it mapped & then you end up lost again. Really liked the Miracle Mile shops attached to the casino. The ABC stores located here & also on the Vegas strip are excellent, very cheap bottles of water & supplies in here!

We really liked the fun atmosphere of the hotel, the only bad point would be the pool. It really is just a big slab of concrete with 2 tiny pools at either end. We went to Caesars instead, where the pool is open 8am - 8pm, excellent pool there, lots of free beds around the pool, snack bar selling delicious snacks & the pool staff often come round with complimentary fruit! Nice!

Overall we loved our stay in Vegas & had a fantastic time at Planet Hollywood. We may stay here again but would probably try a different hotel next time, most likely Caesars as we really liked it there.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood. Our rooms were spotless and very large and the beds, oh my, I wish I never had to leave!! The location can't be beat in the middle of the strip and the price of $69 looking over the Bellagio Fountains, well what more can I say, what a deal! Of course the check-in process took longer than I would have liked, but it wasn't that bad. We chose not to have our vehicle valet parked, which is a nightmare, but this is Vegas, and we expected this. I wished we could have stayed longer.

My wife and I decided to leave for vegas a day early and stayed at Planet Hollywood for one night. We arrived at midnight and the line for registration did not look long, maybe 6 people in front of us but the line took 45 minutes to register and get my keys. Once we got to the room we forgot about the wait. It was a very nice room with a huge bathroom with seporate tub and shower. The room had a large flat panel TV. The view was amazing with the bellagio fountains across the way.

The hotel casino was very nice. We loved the classic rock that was playing in the casino as we were gambeling. We found all our favorate games and plenty of open tables.

The pool area was basic, no thrills. It has 2 pool areas but no waterfall, or slide or beach or anything else that some other hotels have. It does have MANY lounge chairs so no problem with getting a seat in the sun.

Room Tip: The north towers face the fountains at the Bellagio across the way and the south towers have a view...
