High quality, off-strip hotel but without the glitz, glamour and tackiness of others. We felt like valued guests and that nothing was too much trouble. It met all our expectations and more. Good points:
*we 'negotiated' on arrival to be upgraded to a high floor with a Strip view. Also a great view of the sun setting at night over the mountains.
*spotlessly clean and modern
*good size and well fitted suite with balcony - just perfect for sitting with a glass of champers whilst marvelling at the awesome, living, breathing, dazzling display that is the Strip
*great welcome call once in room to check all was ok
*prompt and courteous attention when I needed help with air conditioning and the safe
*other guests were friendly
*no noisy and rowdy guests keeping me awake at night
*blackout curtains and sound proofing
*fab bathroom with big shower, double sinks and double jacuzzi bath - great to share with a loved one or, if you just want to indulge, by yourself
*great fridge with built in ice-dispenser (for late night cocktails!) and ice-cold water
*breakfast in hotel was competitively priced and good quality
*good pool area, with lots of sun-loungers, awnings, fire-pits, and excellent supply of fresh towels available - indoor/outdoor pool is heated
*friendly and accommodating staff throughout the hotel
*no queuing or waiting for anything (which seems to be the norm in LV)
*complimentary local newspapers, apples, and cookies at reception
*two minute walk to a Seven Eleven/service station for groceries, gas [petrol]
*no smoking and no casino!
Things to be aware of, but not show-stoppers:
*about 10 minute walk to the strip - spotted one or two homeless people near a vacant lot a couple of times but encountered no problems. Anyway, you can go through Bally's and Paris hotels for shortcut and for shops/places to eat
*the view of the Strip is separated by car parks and vacant lots so appears a little scruffy
*didn't offer us a child's menu at breakfast and we only found out they had one by chance - so make sure you ask for it if you have kids
*the spa was quite good but fairly functional and a little pricier than what I'm used to, but it is Las Vegas! Nice strawberry massage though.
