Reviewed 27 April 2012

I wrote 1 review about Red Rock last year. We went back this past April. We always stay there at least 4 nites of our trip. Fantastic place to stay off the strip.

The pool area was beautiful and the gerainiums magnificient. Beautiful Weather!! I wish we could have spent more time outside. Did not try the casino as we are not gamblers. This property is truly in a beautiful area away from the strip, and felt quiet and relaxing. I felt like the problems were minor details and quickly remedied. I would stay there again!I read the reviews before we booked. It was funny how close it was to the reviews. The front desk was hurried and impersonal, the attendent typed at light speed and talked even faster. We asked for a king bed, and were given 2 queens, which they switched for us. The blow dryer didn't work in the room and they brought us a new one. I was excited about the deep bathtub, but the water didn't get very hot. I was unfamiliar with the wet bar and the caution to not take anything or I would be charged and not set anything on the bar or I would be charged, maybe this is typical practice. I felt like I was under surveilance though.

Room Tip: Face the Mountains!

The hotel portion of this casino/resort seems to mostly cater to conventions. As such , there are numerous issues that will be disappointing for a business traveler.
1) Rooms have no in-room coffee and no refrigerators. You'll need to walk through the casino to buy your own food and drink, or pay the expected high prices for room service.
2) Internet is $15/day and even then only works in your room. Don't expect to get wi-fi at the pool or in the conference rooms.
3) The business center charges $1/minute. Expect to pay at least $5 for your boarding passes.
4) Parking is free, but the garage adjacent to the hotel has very limited spaces. So unless you want to transport your own luggage through a casino and parking lot with no carts available to guests, expect to generously tip for both valet parking and bell service.

So just be sure your company will cover most of the above when you book your meeting.

Positives: Rooms are clean and modern - large wide screen TVs and separate imitation marble tub/shower. Friendly and attentive staff. Generous and reasonable Vegas buffet for both breakfast and lunch/dinner, as well as Starbucks/food court and upscale restaurant choices in the casino. Free shuttle to the Vegas strip.

Room Tip: Long corridors on each floor, so if you dont want to walk extensively request a room close to the el...

We stayed here when we were getting married and it was amazing. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a pool table and bar in it. They were very friendly. This is a great place to stay if you don't want to deal with all the traffic on the strip.

Unfortunately we were only booked here for 2 nights, I wished we had longer. After the madness of the Strip and Freemont Street this was a relaxing and very enjoyable stay. From the moment we checked in to checking out everything was perfect. The rooms are amazing, comfortable, well decorated and quiet. The bathroom was exceptional.
We spent time in the Spa, by the lovely pool , in the casino and in some of the restaurants. All the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. After 4 stays on the strip in the last 2 years, we have rethought our next trip and Red Rock and their sister property Green Valley Ranch will now be our number 1 and 2 choice. We cant wait to return.
