“Relaxing and luxurious... on weekdays”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2012

My husband and I stayed at Red Rock on 4/18 and 4/19 (a Wed and a Thurs). I know our experience was probably quite different than people that stayed here on weekends- no kids and no crowding- we loved it! The rooms are really nice- quite fancy if you compare them to the average room on the strip. We took everyone's advice and asked for a room near the elevator and got one with a canyon view (also recommended). The casino was nice- medium sized and it didn't reek of cigarette smoke like some of the casinos on the strip. The best part about this place was all of the amenities that are available on site. They have a ton or restaurants, a movie theater and a bowling alley. The Yardhouse that is attached has a late night happy hour- cheap eats and drinks! They are also directly across the street from a nice grocery store and shopping area. We drove to the strip a few times from the hotel- about a 20 minute drive- but if we had not already booked shows, we would have stayed on site. Enjoy the pool on weekdays!!! There were zero children in the hotel the entire time we were there- and no one in the hot tub at all!

We used a groupon so we got two nights, 2 breakfast buffets, and a $50 credit to the Sand Bar restaurant for $169 (plus daily resort fee and tax which equals $27+$10 per day). With the resort fee you get use of the spa, free in room internet and use of the pool, etc. The breakfast buffet was TERRIBLE!! That is why 4 stars instead of 5. The food was actually gross- and I ended up eating a bagel so I wasn't hungry. My hubby and I decided to forgo our second free buffet and head to the deluxe cafe the next day (delicious!!). The SandBar was also good- but DON'T order drinks there!!! They are super overpriced at $13 per drink! Overall- we enjoyed our stay and I can't wait until they go on groupon again so we can afford to go again!

Room Tip: Stay near the elevator with a canyon view They allow early check in when possible

I wouldn't have gone back if not required to be there on business. It's a little better than the last time, but not much. If you want OK, then try this place, but why? When in Vegas you got so much better to chose from?
On the good side breakfast was very good and finally had a waitress with a smile and good service. The view and proximaty of the mountains is memorable. But other than that not much of a place to stay.
Forget the gambling the dealers are rude, grumpy, and certainly don't want to be there. And there is no place else to go close.
Other than breakfast, dinners and lunch don't measure up to Vegas standards.
Forget checking in on time - our room wasn't ready at 2:00 - I think they are understaffed - forget quality service from the front desk or the management - I think they are beat up all the time.
Over all its OK - But there are so many better choices in Vegas.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the mountains. If you want the action of Vegas downtown and the strip this place...

This was my first trip to Las Vegas. It was a business trip but the conference was packed with free time and fun. This Hotel is large and about 25 minutes by the free shuttle bus provided by the hotel both from and to the airport and to the Strip. The bus leaves about every hour or so but it returns before 11p.m. from the STRIP for its last run....so that was not so good. The hotel is beautiful, very helpful, friendly attentive staff, especally the bell staff and the registration staff. You need a card to get on the elevator so safety is excellent. Gorgeous hotel, huge, classy, very modern the rooms. It's are spacious, clean and the bathroom has marble floors and TV, over the tub, separate shower stall, double sinks and leather type walls except in the show stall. Only issue was that the edges of the bed are sharp so you have to be careful, not to get your foot scratched as I did...could be a problem if you are a diabetic. Huge buffet with the expected sub standard food in the casino area. Lots of eating places at all levels and prices, There are two Starbucks. The hotel is located across the street from 2 fantastic shopping centers. It is near anything you might possbily need. This is a safe upscale area. The hotel gets its name from the RED ROCK park and the rocks are really red. Would I stay here again. Yes, if I went back to Vegas and had done the strip bit, this is a really lovely property to enjoy and relax. Our room had an awesome view of the strip at night. I am allergic to feathers and they changed everything, and I mean everything and did it with dispatch. Don't hesitate to go here. Every room is off of the main hall, so each room is entered from your own private foyer with only one other room across from you. This was my experience. If there was a negative, I thought the tile on shower floor could have looked more pristine, but it was not dirty just seemed a bit dull. This is a very, very clean facility. I was in a non smoking room , non animal room. Actually, I do not remember the policy on animals, but did not see any. A very good property.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Strip

We've been to Vegas many times, and from now on this is where we'll return. Red Rock has everything you could want, without the smut and noise of the strip. Great for middle-agers like us, or families. The restaurants were fabulous. I highly recommend T-Bones for their ribeye .

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the elevator. It's a long walk down that hallway.
