This past January we stayed at the Marriott Grand Chateau for about the fourth time. We shared a 3 bedroom with other family members. This timeshare is located one block from The Strip and across the street from Planet Hollywood.

Once you enter the Marriott Grand Chateau, you leave Vegas behind. No slot machines and no casino. You could be in a Resort anywhere, but Vegas. The hotel lobby is peaceful. When you get ready for the Vegas Gaming, Night Life, etc. it's right outside the door.

This Marriott Timeshare matches any Marriott Timeshare anywhere, and it's located just one block off The Strip in Las Vegas. There are also 2 bedroom units and 1 bedroom units with a separate living room and kitchen, and an efficiency unit without a kitchen.

It's hard to stay in a hotel in Vegas after staying here.

This is the second time we've stayed here, and very little has changed in the three years since our previous visit.

The rooms are incredibly spacious and well-maintained. We had a one-bedroom lockoff, which included a full kitchen, separate bedroom, huge soaking tub and killer shower with dual heads. It also included a pullout couch, which we used when a friend visited for a few days.

It's perfectly located mid-Strip, right next to Planet Hollywood and across from City Center. The Marriott provides a complementary shuttle to Albertson's early in the week, so we stocked up on essentials for in-room snacks and breakfasts. The service is only offered Saturday through Tuesday, so get there early if you want groceries.

We were told construction of the third of four planned towers was underway, but we never saw or heard construction.

Yes, the pool is small. This will be changed, we're told, when construction is complete, but right now, it's tiny. The rooftop location is nice, though. Still, I was less bothered by the size of the pool, and more disappointed in the cleanliness of it. I never saw anyone doing any maintenance of the pool or pool area in the week we were there. And we were at the pool every day. Plastic cups and straws from the bar blew all over the place, even into the pool. The water got cloudy. No one picked up the towels or trash left by guests who had left and didn't pick up after themselves. The dirty towel bin and trash can were overflowing.

The gym was OK, but it also was smallish. The temp in there was way too hot for a workout space. There were, however, free weights in addition to the machines, and the several benches available. A weird quirk: The machines in the gym wiped out our room key card three times. We finally put it in a case and kept it as far from them as possible, which seemed to work.

The internet connection was weak and spotty, but serviceable for the most part.

Otherwise, we loved this place and would certainly return again. The issues we had were minor, and the friendly, prompt service more than made up for them.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Strip. The higher up, the better.

Our first trip to Vegas was fabulous! We had the best place to stay. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Concierge was not the best. Guest relations was poor quality. So don't expect recommendations from them . Better results from taxi drivers. But the facility is wonderful. Thanks again to Mama Swinton for our f/r stay at this place. They need lessons in hospitality from Mama Swinton, from Charleston SC!

This was my second visit to the Marriott and it still met all my expectations. I had made reservations for the hilton flamingo during the memorial day holiday but checked out after seeing the room. The hilton flamingo was dated, dirty, and there is construction going on right next to it. I also did not like the noise coming from the flamingo hotel pool.
The marriott was quite, clean, and I feel is in a great location. Just one block off the strip but they have a side entrance just across the street to the miracle mile shops. Plus they have a new hughe Walgreens right at the corner. I will not make the mistake of straying again. Hands down the Marriott is still the BEST.
