I think the thing about Wynn that really is impressive is that it's a huge property, particularly if you roll Encore in with it, and very high end. The question is whether it's that much better than the other similar properties in Vegas. I would make the arguement that the answer to that is a pretty strong yes, as I love high end properties, but dislike the "over the top" aspect that some go for. I've stayed at Cosmopolitan, which I love for its swankiness, but it's just not as polished as Wynn.
We had a panoramic room, which is apparently a step above the standard room in terms of view. I will give it to the room - the bathrooms are great - just like the Mirage penthouse (minus the walk in closet), and well appointed. The room is as good of a "standard" room that you'll ever get at a hotel.
Service wise, it's obvious that Wynn holds their employees to a higher standard, and as someone who oversees a large amount of service individuals and has a position that my success is based on their ability to implement what I put forward, I can tell you that Wynn should be really proud of how well their employees fare at this.
I will say that I could deal without having to hear Steve Wynn tell me how awesome it is... EVERYWHERE - the room, the cabs, the website. Seriously, it's really great, I get that - maybe someone else, who doesn't have their name on the hotel, should share that info.
