Hidden in the Rio is this Indian Restaurant, this is our standard stop on each visit to Las Vegas: magnificent Indian buffet for a reasonable price.

I have to admit there are only 5-6 dishes to choose from, but a bit of everything really fills you up.

We always take extra naan bread (either plain our with garlic).

The Rio can easily be reached by car, bus (202 from next to Ceasar’s Palace) or a short walk. Certainly worth trying! Friendly staff.

Had the yummiest Indian meal that I've had in a long time. Flavours were fresh and delicious. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We (group of 6) had a limited time frame as we were off to a show but the staff made sure we had our meals in plenty of time. Price was very good. Will definitely go back if I'm ever in Vegas!!

We went to this restaurant before the Penn and Teller show and stumbled upon because it was the only outlet in the hotel that did not have a line-up. It was empty when we got there and by the time we left there we only 3 other tables occupied which may be an indication.

Having eaten Indian food around the world including on the sub-continent, we chose conservatively and even then the food was average at best.

My rogan josh was flavorful but over-spiced but the naan was hot and tasy. My wife's chicken tikka was also too spicy and a bit dry but she did enjoy the basmati rice. The food experience was satisfactory but the bill at $70 with tax and tip seemed a bit over the top for a standard dining experience.

Indian food sounded good. The Royal Elephant Bistro popped up and was listed as $$. The restaurant is located in the Rio Casino. The restaurant was clean and set with a white table cloth. Entrees started at $22. We opted for the buffet at $14.95. Every hot food was spicy beyond being tasty. I had a stomachache immediately. While I enjoy savory, spicy Indian food, this was beyond my tolerance.
