Had a great meal at Le Cirque this trip.
We opted for the 3 course a la carte menu and not the tasting menu as it looked like a lot of food.
We were glad we did because we were stuffed by the end of it.
Firstly, Yes its pricey and one reason it didnt give a full 5 stars from me.
However, the quality is there and if you have a glass of wine instead of a bottle is can be reasonable.
Service was very good, no complaints in that department. We were treated very well and made to feel welcome.
Food was great....my wife didnt love the sauteed foie gras. The texture was off compared to other foie dishes we had. Taste was still there but the texture left something to be desired.
Notable dish was the veal (for two). Its was the most tender veal chops I have ever had. Cooked perfectly with some great sides.
The risotto with frog legs was also very delicious and something I would go back for. However paired with the veal chop was very rich.
All in all a great meal and would go back 100%.
