Hi,

We were a family of 3 adults, so opted for the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo with a double sofa bed in the living room. The condo is a good size, clean, has comfy beds, a good supply of hot water and comes fully equipped with a dish washer, cooker, washing machine, dryer, 3 tv's, air-con, wifi and all the accessories needed like washing powder, dish washer tablets etc.

We spent 8 nights at the Desert paradise resort and although the hotel is about 2 miles off the strip, this suited us better, as we would had found 8 nights on the strip far too much (too many people, jam packed swimming pools, noisy and expensive restaurants). However this resort had 2 decent pools which were not too busy, outside bbq grills (which was great for cooking our own steaks and saved a small fortune) with tables and chairs, reasonable priced restaurants which were fine and within walking distance and apart from a bit of pool noise until about 10 or 11pm that was it. Our room was facing the pool and set back bit away from a main road.

All of staff are friendly and helpful but a special mention should goto the minibus driver who was super helpful to us as we did not have use of a car during our stay. At certain times and days the minibus driver offers courtesy rides to the strip, supermarkets and the outlet stores. The staff who work at the tour desk were friendly, helpful, offered good advise and were not there to sell rip-off tours but very reasonably priced tours if you did decide to go with them.

A few times we needed to use uber to get back from the strip which was not expensive.

We travelled all the way from England, so wanted a place with comfort and this resort certainly met our exceptions. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

Well done!

Room tip: may be a room facing the pools to be away from the main road?

Some surfing on Tripadvisor and other sites make us happy by seeing the size of the room(s) and the location and additional things this resort offers. The rooms are giant and well maintained and decorated!

Only minus things are;
- WiFi, only 3 permits for a family of 4! If you want additional devises you need to call there help desk in India (?), which is crazy since all hotels / resorts allow unlimited devises or provide you an additional log in
- Vent, that runs constantly, in the wash room is noisy

Room tip: Request a room that is not near the entrance since those are close to busy road

Loved this place for our week long family getaway! The rooms are spacious, clean and functional. The service at the desk is great. The family pool is nice and there is plenty of seating but there is also an adult only pool which is nice if you just wanted to relax without kids around. It is centrally located and there are some convenient amenities nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Room tip: Our room faced inwards and not facing the pool. Couldn't hear a thing all night.

Right from check in we were impressed with this Resort, the check in staff were very friendly and welcoming. This place is super clean and has security gates locked at night plus security patrols in golf carts. Parking was included and never had a problem getting a spot right in front if our unit. There are only 2 floors so no noise was heard. The interior was very spacious especially the bedroom, flat screen in the bedroom and another in the main living area with pull out couch.. kitchen was awesome, full size fridge, stove dishwasher, microwave, toaster coffee pot utensils, pots pans etc. with supplied coffee dishwasher and sink soap, all the comforts of home. The pools were very nice clean and never too crowded. Would stay again and highly recommend if visiting Vegas, the strip is a mere 2 kilometres away which is perfect. Only negative was shuttle and only because the limited hours of operation, didn’t start until noon during the week.

Just returned from a weeks stay at Desert Paradise Resort, check in was quick and the front desk staff friendly. We knew that there were resort fees of about $20 a day due to the contract with Global Discovery Vacations but the front desk advised of this upon check in. After check in we went to the conceirge desk where we were given information about their presentation which we passed on and given shuttle information. The resort is about 3.5 miles from the strip and they offer daily shuttles - which we did take advantage of. You need to sign up for the shuttle with the conceirge. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

We rented a car from the airport since we visited some out of Vegas destinations. The drive from airport to resort was quick and easy. The property is gated, with the gates closed at 5 pm and open during the day. We NEVER felt unsafe to walk outside of the property on Decatur and is within walking distance to several restaurants and stores (Walgreens). There is a great walking/running park on the corner of Tropicana and Decatur - early mornings and evenings do tend to draw some questionable people, we never felt unsafe. Just bring your common sense.

We had a two bedroom unit and it was spacious - sizable kitchen, dining area, living room, bathroom off living space, bedroom with walk in closet, laundry room with full size appliances and the master bedroom, large walk in closet and ensuite bathroom. The unit also has a great covered balcony patio with table and four chairs - what a great space. The unit is stocked with all usual full kitchen appliances and they provide soap, two rolls paper towel and extra trash bags. With five days stay housekeeping comes once to empty trash, replace towels and change bedding.

They offer a business center where you can access the internet and print whatever documents you need, a fitness center (separate small out building) and game room. They have two pools one for families (8 am to 10 pm) and an adult pool (8 am to midnight). Each area has a bank of grills - they are well kept and you can request BBQ tools from the front desk. We mainly were at the adult pool, several loungers available but only three pool umbrellas - my opinion - they could use one or two more umbrellas for the adult area. Pool was refreshing however found quite a few bugs in the pool, really needed to be skimmed more often.

This resort is good for both families and couples.

We really enjoyed our time at the Desert Paradise Resort and would recommend it and would stay again next time we visit Vegas.
