“Great weekend at Cancún Resort”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

Slightly off the Strip makes it for a quiet stay, ample free parking, very nice pool, jacuzzi and other amenities, easy access to freeway. I love being able to eat breakfast when I wake up (not limited to breakfast hours) because of the full kitchen in the suite. Very nice bathroom, with jacuzzi tub. This is part of our time-share, and came with lots of coupons, so we received a free Gondola ride (outside of Venetian Hotel), and a free dinner at one of the Venetian restaurants. Also, it is only about 5-7 minutes from the South Las Vegas Outlets and a grocery store is nearby.

Room Tip: Pick a one or two bedroom suite for families (has a full kitchen with dishwasher and microwave). Sl...

I LOVED this hotel. It was so clean, the bedroom bath was HUGE, the hotel didn't smell like cigarette smoke like all of the other hotels, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I also loved that it wasn't on the main part of the strip so it was nice and quiet all day long, and even though it wasn't exactly on the strip, the drive to it was really quick. Even though it was a smaller hotel compared to the others, it wasn't crowded, and we found parking every night in the underground garage. I'm not sure if we just didn't have neighbors or the walls were soundproof, but either way we didn't hear anybody the entire time. We baked cookies during our stay, and the recipe called for just one egg, and the chef let us have one instead of buying an entire carton!

We stayed here for a week before Christmas - our unit was nice - had two bathrooms - one bedroom with a king sized bed. The kitchen is very small but usable. It was cool when we were there so we didn't use the pool or the really big deck attached to the unit.

It was fairly easy to get in and out of - our unit was in a building with the garage underneath - that was convenient when we could park in that underground area - and go directly to the elevators.

There are no washing machines in the unit - they do have coin operated units on most floors (not the one we stayed on) - one washing machine and one dryer per floor - looks like there used to be two but one set was removed.

The pool area has a lot of restricted rules posted - no eating outside food etc. and there is a bar and restaurant in the area.

There were quite a few young people in the building we were in and we had to complain two nights about noise when we were awakened and had to put up with a lot of noise early in the evening on Saturday night.

Not sure if we would stay again but it was pretty ok for the price.

Room Tip: Ask for one in a building over the garage with elevator access - also get one facing the pool. Othe...

I have been to Vegas many times and since my family purchased a time share at the Cancun Resort, this is only place I now stay. It's far enough from the hustle and bustle of the strip that you can relax by the pool yet, not too far away from the Strip to make it a hassle to get there. The Strip is just a 10 minute cab/shuttle ride away. The suites are a nice size which gives travelers plenty of room to spread out. While we do not cook on vacation, having a full kitchen is helpful for storing and preparing snacks and beverages. The grocery store is conveniently located across the street. Be sure to grab breakfast on the property. The eggs and chorizo is my favorite. If you want to dine off the property but not head down to the Strip, be sure to head across the street to Steiners for large portions and service 24/7.
