“Celebrity Suite, Bally's LV, North Tower”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2013

Oh my god is this room massive! It's a small apartment. Now, a "Celebrity Suite" is not on the menu, you have to have a host connection and/or the play to warrant it. It may be available upon request, but not sure, but either way, it's HUGE. You open the door and immediately to the right is a half bath with a small couch (not sure why, use your imagination) and then in front of you is a massive living room with floor to ceiling windows. Have a separate living and dining area (dining table seats six), a full size bar (unstocked) and then that leads to a large master bed room with another wall to wall, ceiling to floor window, king size bed, flat screen and then the massive dual side bath, split into a "his and hers." The center of the bath, which by the way has no door to the bed area, it's all one large open area, is a large open spa (jacuzzi-type) tub and behind that a large STEAM shower. If you want, before your shower, push steam button and in a bout 5 minutes, entire shower is a blanket of steam. There is also a bench to sit on in shower, but is too far from shower spray. On each side of the shower and tub (shower has door on both sides) there is his dressing area and a hers dressing area and two separate closets. Oh, by the way, there is an actual exercise room, with a TV, stereo and a lifecycle, stationary bike, but other equipment.
It's a great room if you're planning a party or have some guests over. It's a great room for you and your significant other for a special week/weekend. Is it "overkill?" For some it might be and if your in LV alone, it kind of is.
The drawbacks are more of a nit-picking thing, but it may have been renovated, but the decor is dated and someone really doesn't pay attention. Perfect example, none of the lamps in the living room matched, BUT, one of the non-matching lamps in the bedroom WOULD MATCH one of the lamps in the living room...no one notices this? There are other small details that many may not notice and you likely would never see or find at a 5-star or even 4-star lux hotel.
This room is a "Budget Luxury" room. You can get that feeling of being a high roller in a giant room, at a budget rate/comp, but it's not Bellagio.
Bally's, the casino itself, looks and feels dated and a bit cramped. It really needs a full gutting and do-over. With the new trend towards "boutique hotels" and big luxury, Bally's is really going to drop down the ladder quickly. Good thing is, there's an interior hall that connects to Paris, which has a better feel and vibe.

Room Tip: Pay attention to the internet on what's being refurbished and ask for a refurbished room. South...

Stayed here for three nights in June 2013.
Checking in was tiresome as there was a very long queue and only 3 check in staff.
However, room was large (North Tower) with reasonable view but a long way from the car park.
it was a lot cheaper than other hotels in the centre of the Strip and it's position and price made it a good choice.
It was an easy walk to the other hotels to see the various attractions and easy to drive to and park.
We only ate one meal in the hotel but it was as good as any on our 3 week touring holiday.
If I go to Vegas again I will stay there again.

We had booked our hotel/flight through Expedia. Upon arrival to the hotel, I requested a newly renovated room in the North Tower (after reading reviews on Tripadvisor). I was told that it would be an additional $20 per night. I said that I had read reviews on Tripadvisor saying that it was $10 to upgrade. Upon hearing this, she said, "Okay." I was happy for the savings and our room was very nice, except that first night we heard construction outside our window. They are tearing out parts of the Flamingo Hotel, and at 10:45 p.m. I didn't want to hear bulldozers and beeping of machines. I called the front desk and was told that they couldn't move us until the next day. I even asked if they could talk to a manager (hoping for some fantastic upgrade), but after being on hold for a couple of minutes, I was still told that I could switch rooms the next day. Luckily, the construction didn't last all night, but we could hear a lot of cars and sirens. I was very happy to leave room 1673 the next morning. Our next room for the next four nights (room 1738) was fantastic! We looked out onto the top of the roof but could still see Bally's pool and the monorail. We were right next to the stairwell, but since it is only used in emergencies, we knew there would be no noise behind us. The air conditioning unit really cooled the room, and since we like the "white noise" of it, we didn't hear anything at all. No slamming doors, no people talking or coming in late. Once that "Do not disturb" sign is on the door there was no worry of housekeeping knocking on your door. The beds were comfortable and we all slept great! We have stayed at The Imperial Palace (now "The Quad"), Flamingo, Mirage, and Monte Carlo before. We found that for OUR specific needs (good location, quiet and family-type guests), Bally's was #1. The pool isn't fancy like Monte Carlo or the Flamingo, but we appreciated that it was a "family friendly" pool (not a "meat market and drunken party atmopshere that we had experienced at Monte Carlo). We didn't think the hotel/casino was that smoky. In fact, we noticed that there were less people smoking, in general, in the casinos. For the location and price, we were pleased and would stay here again, for sure! Note that if construction is still going on to ask for a room NOT facing the Flamingo, and to mention the $10 upgrade for the North Tower (and not accept the suggested $20 upgrade).

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the Flamingo where they are doing construction.

Not bad for the price! We only paid £30 a night and while it isn't the most luxurious hotel on the strip the rooms are large, well appointed, and the location is excellent. We didn't actually spend much time in our room so when you think that neighbouring hotels are double the price I can think of plenty of things to spend that spare money on! My only criticism was the really long wait to check-in, only a handful of staff working at the busiest time of the day could easily be improved upon.

This was my third stay at Ballys. I really do like the place. Great location. Great staff and not pretentious. There are a lot of great people that work here. I mostly am out during the graveyard shift, but here are some shout outs. Dealer wise Danielle is the best. She works form 8 pm to 4 am. She is the best and hopefully someone lets her know for me. Promote her. On the graveyard shift, the dealer Dion is fun. He will mess with you, but in a fun way. It is much better than some dealers that want no interaction. He is a riot. Alex (female) is also very nice and engaging. Play with these dealers, they are great. As far as bartenders go, Brian at the main bar is awesome. He is on the ball and will help you have a great time. He works prime time. Mike is at Sullys usually early in the morning. He could be the nicest bartender ever especially since he has to put up with people like me whom have been drinking all night. So the hotel is a good time and the staff is fun, if you are fun. The mexican restuarant is a good deal and the food is good. Other than that the food options at Ballys is not that great. The downside of the place is the sportsbook might as well be in a different zip code. Out of sight and out of mind, so dont use it as much as I would like. The rooms are dated. I know they are redoing the S tower and that will be good. I look forward to having one of those rooms, but of course they will have to upgrade me for me to see it. They are usually good at upgrading to the N tower. The only other thing that stops me from giving a five star is fix the damn moving side walk. I have stayed there 3 times, but have been to Vegas 4 times in the last year and the moving sidewalk has not worked once. Jes how much can a fn motor cost to make the thing work. Fix that and I would probably give a 5. Get enough 5's and maybe you will over take Excalibur on tripadvisor. What an embarrasment to be ranked behind excalibur when location alone should over take that hotel.
