“Excellent hotel for all types”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 May 2012

My husband & I stayed at the Staybridge Suites hotel for two nights before moving to Planet Hollywood. I must say that I was truly blown away by this hotel. It was the cleanest hotel that I've ever stayed in and I do quite a bit of traveling. The room was HUGE! Lots of space to stretch out and relax. The kitchen was fully furnished with everything that you could possibly want or need. All appliances were stainless steel, brand new condition. Countertops were granite. The room had a washer & dryer in the closet in the hallway...it worked perfectly. The bed was VERY comfortable. The gym was more than adequate....free weights starting at 5 pounds and going up from there. There was a recumbant bike, stair steppers, treadmills, and some machines in the back. Don't worry if you forgot your headphones, they have them at the front desk for your use while you work out. The pool was super clean, plenty of towels all around. 2 jacuzzi tubs next to the pool. The breakfast was more than adequate. There was always eggs, a meat option, yogurt, cereal, pastry's, fresh fruit whole as well as cut up, oatmeal, make your own waffles, 4 types of juices, 4 types of coffee, granola, raisins, nuts......just everything to fix a good meal to get you going in the morning. The staff was absolutely outstanding! Very friendly and helpful. Anything you need, they get right on it. The hotel is away from the strip and very quiet, so you can sleep at night or even during the day if you want. I have truly found "my spot" for when I go to Vegas! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to the strip, but doesn't want the loud, rowdy, smokey, crowded, type of environment. This place is PERFECT!

Room Tip: Pool view is the better view.

I spent 5 nights at Staybridge in Las Vegas recently and have such great things to say! Let me start by saying how impressed I was by the cleanliness…and I’m a clean freak. From the immaculate living room/kitchen space to the bathroom and large bedroom it was immaculate. I didn’t use the kitchen much except for keeping some wine cold (!), but every surface was gleaming. The bathroom was spotless and the bedroom and bedding were perfect. So really, for me…as soon as I see a modern, spacious and clean place that I’m planning on spending time in….I’m impressed.

The location was good…not far from where I had to go for business and close enough to the strip that I could see the bright lights and helicopters but not be bothered by them. I have stayed on the strip before…and I will say, there is certainly convenience when you are able to walk out your hotel and be “bam” right in the middle of the action and restaurants. Staybridge will not give you that perspective so be prepared…you are off strip. There is a shuttle, but the hours are a bit rigid so (being a person with little patience for waiting around) I just took a cab (about $15) to get to mid-strip.

The breakfast in the morning was awesome. Let me say that again…awesome. Omelets, waffles, bacon, hash browns, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, juices, cheeses….lots and lots of variety that changed very day. And..its free! Staybridge does not have an ordinary, typical “free continental” breakfast. It is a full on, self-serve HOT breakfast (the egg white omelet with spinach and feta was delish).

While I was there, it was very hot so the pool was a great treat. Lots of sun exposure…and again very clean. Folded, cream coloured towels were placed on every lounge chair and the pool, deck surrounding it and cabana-style loungers for two (with breezy curtains!) was always neat and clean.

If you’re going to Vegas to be at the centre of it all…Staybridge may not be your ideal location. But if you’re looking for a sleek, modern and clean place to stay (especially if you’re there for business) and don’t mind being a small jaunt from the strip then Staybridge should be at the top of your list.

We stayed here for four nights intending that it would be a wind down and relax by the pool kind of place before we returned to the UK, everything about the suite was just fine. Kitchen area had full size cooker, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and basic cooking pans and crockery, microwave and coffee maker. There was a lounge are with large flat screen and dvd, bedroom was OK, maybe a little on the small side, had tv and had door to small bacony area, bathroom was large with twin sinks, large tup with shower over. Everything was clean. Had a problem with the AC not cooling down when we arrived, maintenance man spent ages trying to find a fault, told us he was off duty an hour earlier?, and didnt really identify a fault other than keep the curtains closed cos it was hot, anyway it did the trick, front desk and maintenance supervisor made follow up calls to make sure we were happy.
We were very disappointed with pool cleanliness, it was grimy in the corners, dead insects on the bottom, and some palm fronds on the bottom too, however we were hot and bothered so braved it but certainly didnt feel comfortable, day 2 it was the same but this time had a grimy film in places, so on day 3 we decided to comment on it to Jeremy the assistant manager. He couldnt have been nicer and really took it seriously, offered us compensation, which was not what we wanted but very nice fo him to do it. The following day the pool man was certainly working hard and appears to have resolved the problem. Despite this if we were ever in Vegas again we would certainly consider this hotel. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, and apart from the pool all was clean.

We enjoyed this large 1 bedroom suite with the bath separated into 2 rooms and having 3 sinks, a soaking tub and a stand alone shower. Each unit had a balcony!

The kitchen had modern decor appliances and a washer/dryer which came in very handy for us to do our laundry!

The Assistant Gen. Manager, Jeremy was wonderful and so was the front desk lady! The only complaint I would have is the air con unit did not cool off fast enough, and the maintenance guy was not very helpful when we had him diagnose the problem.

We got to check in early to boot and on the top floor!
Not far from the strip and reasonably priced. We will stay there again next time!

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor. You can choose between strip view or mountain view. We choose the mountain...

From the first phone contact to our check-out, everything about our stay was impressive. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and did everything possible to assure that we had an enjoyable stay. We had many questions about locations, schedules, etc., during our stay, and our questions were always answered enthusiastically. Every staff member we came into contact with acted as though it was their pleasure to be able to take care of us.

At one point, we asked if they might have a corkscrew we could borrow, and not only did they say they would get one for us, but they insisted that we should not wait for it at the desk - they would bring it to our room, which they did within a few minutes. The suite was beautiful - large, comfortable and well-appointed. The free breakfasts were good, and there were even free light dinners three nights during the week. There was a free shuttle to the strip, and of course the shuttle driver was also very friendly.

Although it might have been slightly more convenient to stay directly on the strip, that was far outweighed by the pleasant, peaceful atmosphere in the StayBridge Suites.

We would absolutely stay here again - as a matter of fact, we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else!

Room Tip: Doesn't matter, unless you care about having a room facing the pool - they all have balconies, s...
