“excellent location”

Stayed at Harrah's in March 2012 for 4 nights - all comped. Paid $15 per night for an upgraded room. Great view of the Mirage Volcano from our room and you could hear the music too! Had a small balcony to step out on. Bathroom had a TV and coffee maker (very rare in Vegas). Desk clerk was excellent - we had 3 different rooms between 7 of us staying there and she got us all on the same floor. Casino is a little smokey but so are most. Location in the middle of the strip was excellent. Right across the street from Mirage. Did not eat at the hotel but highly recommend going to the Wicked Spoon buffet at the Cosmopolitan for brunch with complimentary mimosas or bloody marys. Check-out was easy as it was done on the TV. Would stay there again as it was clean, reasonable and in a great location.

Read a lot of reviews about this hotel, some good and some not so good. I have stayed here twice and found it to be a great hotel for the price. I have stayed in the Mardi Gras and Carnival Towers. Both were nice and clean. This hotel offers a lot of great in-house entertainment! We really enjoyed the Mac King Magic Show and the Legends in Concert. This hotel is located in the Mid-Strip section, so you can get around pretty well. We were able to walk everywhere. It is a great location for the Monorail. We chose to take the bus that runs the whole strip for just $7. for a 24 hr period. I would only suggest this if the Strip is not real busy, otherwise it is a fantastic way to get around on the strip. The staff was nice. Had a great view of the Mirage's Volcano going off in the evenings!!! I would stay there again.

Went to Harrah's with my husband for a mini vacation! Check in was a breeze I guess it was due to us being a little early. Our room wasn't ready so we had them check our bags and we went next door to eat at Denny's and stopped at Walgreen's or CVS located at the venetian and bought bottled waters, drinks and snacks. When we went back our room was ready and it was 2 hours before their usual check-in date We had a basic room in the Carnival Tower again I don't remember the room number we checked the bed/blankets, headboards, and nightstand for bedbugs luckily there were none.We did not hear any loud noises from the carnival court we were near the pool it was not loud there either. Housekeeping was great we always had fresh towels and our room was nicely done every morning. I have no complaints about Harrah's we enjoyed our stay once again!

We have stayed at Harrahs twice a year for at least the past 12 years and sadly, our stay there in March will be our last. The hotel is just plain old.....the rooms are outdated, the casino is fun but I was not really comfortable with some of the stuff that was going on. Lots of young adults, drunk, loud, vulgar. I felt like I was in a seedy hotel. We will be moving on to something in the same area but perhaps a little classier. I am sad, I love Harrahs and have always felt a certain sense of loyalty to Harrahs, but after this last experience, I am moving on.

Room Tip: If you have a strip view, stay in the Mardi Gras tower since the errupting volcano at Mirage is loud...

Hi, I really enjoyed this hotel and don't hesitate to recommend it. We ate at the buffet and the food selection was great and overall quality very good. However, the walls between the rooms are paper thin. I do have exceptional hearing but it being able to hear conversations (among other things) in the next room was pretty terrible. Would stay again and 'hope' for quieter neighbors or no neighbors at all.
