I stayed at the Encore for the first time from 4/24 to 4/27. Check in was very smooth and quick. The service was excellent, the room was extremely clean and large, and the food was excellent (very pricey). The atmosphere is more of a resort feel and not the large crowds that you would expect to see in a Vegas hotel. This was great for me! You will be charged to move up to higher floor. They call this the panoramic view and it will cost $20.00 per night extra. Also, I was not aware that they will hold $150.00 per night for incidentals. This is a problem if you do not have a credit card with a decent credit limit. They will take a $250.00 deposit in cash. It would have been nice to know this prior to checking in. I plan to return to the Encore this year and will be prepared for the incidental deposit.

Room Tip: Be prepared for the deposit and request a high floor.

Hi - firstly I don't want to take anything away from this place. It is a fantastic hotel and the room we had was amazing. However when paying such premium prices one expects a few little extras like breakfast or something to make the guests feel welcome. We had the buffet one day as everyone kept telling us to try it out, was nothing special albeit there was a lot on offer. A great hotel, right at the end of the strip so we took the bus up and down when visiting other hotels. Clubs in here excellent but didn't enjoy yhr show la reve too much.

The Encore is very new and luxurious, but a little gaudy for my taste. More attention is given to surface appearance than to guest comfort. It caters to a very young, trendy crowd so there is a lot of loud music and vibration even in the upper rooms. We were on the 46th floor and still heard the music from the dance club at 2am. Room service is very slow and the thermostat is mostly for show. It felt warm, no matter how we set the control.

The hotel is bright, colorful and beautiful and the casino is extensive. It's also smoky and loud. I couldn't recommend it to a contemporary, but a younger crowd looking for a beach party atmosphere might enjoy it more.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the pool and dance club side are quieter.

We stayed at the encore for the annual microsoft convention.
considering the price of the rooms $399+ in the week - $699 on the fri/sat i was expecting a lot more from this hotel.
we were offered an upgrade when checking in to a panoramic room. we took this expecting it to be out of this world. It was the same room as normal just on a higher floor- not even the top ten floors as promised with the extra charge. We were told that they were sold out and had no other rooms available and this was the highest we could get.

The room was very nice, no complaints there apart from fingerprints over all the surfaces - cleaning has not done a thorough job! bit off putting and icky.

It was not as big as i had expected from a suite. a lounge space and small bedroom area.
bathroom was spacious and nice.
view was pretty good down the strip.

we stayed for 7 nights. to be honest we didnt feel welcome or at home there that whole week. I have stayed at pretty much all the hotels on the strip and this was one i did not want to spend time in. the only casino which is very lighted and daylight very showy and ott. You couldnt chill and relax here in the casino it was like you were on show all the time and you were being watched. You felt you had to dress up all the time too.
It was a very showy vain ambience which is nice at times or in evenings but 24/7 for a whole week was too much.
Service is excellent here though as to be expected.
the hotel is very beautiful and overpriced and not enough room at the pool.

i was soooooo disppointed with the buffet here for both breakfast and lunch. There was loads of deserts from breakfast onward but not much choice at all unless you like raw fish.sushi etc. i could not even get a simple poached egg or toast for something unfussy.there was no facilities for that at all.
i dont want to eat raw fish/deserts for breakfast. unlike all the other buffets in vegas there was just NO fruits, pastries, cereal, egg choices, toast/bagels, pancakes, bacon etc.
Only little made up glasses with some yogurt concontion pre made with certain fruit. No choice options. But that was all I could eat.

Lunch was a similar let down. I look forward to the buffets when I stay in vegas as they are so good usually but here a real let down. I had to order room service for breakfast in the end as I couldnt find anything suitable to eat at breakfast. I ordered pancakes and they were clearly straight from a packet. For the hotel it was and the price i expected them to be freshly cooked - not too much to ask for the $.

Dinner room service was excellent service i will say. The lady brough a full dining table up and served everything it was fantastic. This I would say was worth how expensive it was.
Food was not that great and nobody came to collect the huge table etc when we had finished and hoped to complain. so it stayed there with the smell all night until i rung again the following morning and was told it was too late to complain about the dish. I commented that I was planning to complain when they came up to collect it as i hadnt eaten it and they would see that. But noone turned up which was not my fault.
The refused to refund this and this was extremely frustrating. This is not good customer service and therefore I ordered no more room service as i was very dissatisfied.

we ate a most of the restaurants in the hotel. They were very pricey and were not wow to match the price.

The restaurants were not great value for how expensive they were at the steak and topping without sides was almost $100 then you add sides starters deserts and drinks ontop. crazy pricing and only good not excellent.
They are also extremely hard to get into. It was a real let down that on a couple of nights of our stay there was not a single restaurant in our own hotel that could accommodate us. a pretty poor show for a hotel guest! We were too tired and wanted to stay within the hotel complex but had to go elsewhere on the strip.

The noise from the nightclub people in reviews are complaining about i think is not from the actual, nightclub but from the beach club nightclub which is based outside and goes on all night til the early hours so if you are in a room facing strip view this noise will hit your room no matter what the height. We heard it but was not too bad to keep you awake or anything.

The beach club itself is also a joke, the prices to get in are crazy and then you cant leave once your in even though it goes on from morningish time entrance to the next early morning.

i would not discount staying here again, it was a nice enough room. But I would certainly choose many different hotels above this one in order of preference for all these reasons above. But particualrly overall value which we def did not get staying here.
If i had to stay here again it would only be for the room and would know I would be spending most of my time in other hotels so there would be no point staying here.

Felt very isolated from the rest of the strip which is possibly why the restaurants were so busy in the complex. It was a good 30min walk just to the next hotel venetian. So would need to get a cab to get to the centre of the strip action or near city centre.

I would stay nearer city centre end next time.

This was our 7th trip to Vegas and our first stay at the Encore. We booked the Encore to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We are mid 50's, empty nesters and we enjoy "The Art Of Doing Nothing".

Check in was a breeze. Because of reading other reviews on TA we decided to request an odd number room facing north to avoid the club noise as we preferred quiet over the view. The young man at the desk was able to fulfill our wish. The rooms are beautiful ~ clean, large and the bed was very comfortable. We slept well and heard no club noise all week. Maid service was also great.

We spent most of our time at the European pool as we felt it was a little quieter. Once in a while there would be a group that may have been a little rowdy but did not last and was no big deal. All the pools, including the Wynn, are great and the area was always kept clean. The pool wait staff was great. One younger waitress remembered our anniversary, what we drank, and where we ate our dinner to celebrate ~ after she came back from two days off. (Wynn/Encore has done a great job training all the young staff as they are very polite and attentive).

As has been mentioned, dining can be a little pricey but we budgeted for that. We ate our anniversary dinner at Sinatra's and loved it. When we were seated we were given an anniversary card at the table (nice touch). During the meal each server would greet us with a " happy anniversary". It was a great dinner and they even brought out a dessert for us.

We also saw LeReve. Great show and worth seeing. We have seeing many Cirque shows and although not a Cirque show rates right up there with them.

All in all a great stay. If you are thinking of booking Encore...just do it!
We feel we have found our new Vegas home.

Room Tip: To avoid club noise...be sure to request a north facing odd # room
