We have found Freemont to be of a lesser quality, not as clean, and more hustlers than the Strip. Perhaps, more for a younger crowd
Same Fremont and that’s not a bad thing. Great music we enjoyed the casino’s better than the trip. Keep bring places to eat! Many were not opened yet because of Covid.
This place is ABSOLUTELY worth the visit! Reasonably priced food and beverages and no shortage of entertainment. The overhead video screen is nothing short of amazing. This was my first time visiting from the east coast and Freemont street really brought the trip to Vegas together. Check it out.
It's been about 7 years since we've been to Vegas. We had our kids this time (ages 17 and 14). As some others have mentioned I would leave the kids out of this one. It is still a fun sight to see if you've never been there, but in case most don't know marijuana has been legalized for personal use and the casinos are the only ones that don't allow it. We walked thru a constant smell of weed and I was hit up twice by homeless people asking for money.
I was used to seeing the girls partially dressed and posing for pics etc. That is part of Vegas and I expect some panhandling, but I wouldn't do freemont again unless it was a party trip.
If you do go down do the zip lining and eat at the Charter House inside the Golden Nugget. Food was outstanding.
This is located in Downtown Las Vegas. It is quite a distance from the strip. I would recommend taking the bus. It is called the Deuce. A double decker bus can take you to Freemont Street. The pass is $8.00 for 24 hours. Once you arrive at Freemont Street you will find a laser light show on a canopy that covers several blocks. Great food and shopping places located here. You can also zipline from slotzilla.
