We booked the hotel Because they had the private beach but the beach was a major disappointment.Firstly, it's not in the hotel it is an at least five to seven-minute walk to the beach from the hotel. The beach was tiny and full of chairs you don't have much room to sit on the sand. The rooms were ok

Everything at this property is so professional. The staff is helpful and friendly, the facilities are really nice and clean, and the food is relatively healthy and definitely delicious! I've been coming back for 10 years and look forward to many more vacations here

For the money it felt like a Great Western, The rooms are very plain we were 3 hallways and stairs away from the front. Not recommended. If you are expecting the grace of most Hyatt's you won't find it here. But you "will" find the expense

For the price of the rooms, I expected much more. Very average. Everyone kept talking about the food and I searched high and low but to no avail. Housekeeping threw away the pizza I ordered for my post-wedding meal. I mean- we had only eaten two pieces and it was neatly on the dresser. Housekeeping told me I could go down the hall and retrieve it from the room where they had collected all of the trash from the rooms. I thought he was joking but he was dead serious. Beds and hard, towels are thin.

I have stayed at this resort twice during ski season so I was very excited to finally visit during the summer. On previous visits, we stayed in tower rooms. Since it was summer, we wanted a patio or balcony to enjoy the beautiful weather. Rocking chairs were provided to do just that. We were in room 331 [see picture] on the third floor with a great view of the pool area and tower. You will get plenty of exercise walking from the lobby to this room. It was not a bother for me as the view was worth the effort. This room had a very comfortable bed with nice linens. It is high tech also with many plugs and ports and a nice AC thermostat. The TV is over the top large for this size room. The cabinet between the beds contains the safe and a flashlight [nice touch].

The entire staff throughout the resort was friendly, considerate, and very attentive. The concierge was very helpful with local information. The lobby area seemed the same as previous visits although I understand it was recently remodeled. It has a rustic elegance ambience and a mountain lodge vibe. The casino is smallish by south shore standards but I find it a good size and there was never a smoke issue. It is separate from the lobby. One of the standouts was Tahoe Provisions – a take-out food and miniature general store adjacent to the lobby. We found this very helpful for a quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner to take with us on daily activities. This helps with the resort prices at restaurants. The food was gourmet quality and always tasty. Starbucks coffee was served here and there was a small seating area with TV’s. Make use of this amenity.

We spent considerable time on the beach across the street behind the Lone Eagle grill [ask for a ride if you don’t want to walk there]. The beach is very pleasant with a roped off area for swimming. There are no extra charges here – towels, chairs/umbrellas are provided. Food and drinks are available on the beach – look for the blue-shirted waitresses to place an order. We found the mahi tacos to be tasty. I enjoyed strolls along the pier adjacent to the beach for pictures. There is a bar on the end of the pier and chairs for enjoying the view. Many boats were docked along the pier. A creek is located along the back side of the property behind the pool area. Follow the sidewalk from the pool area and listen for the rustling water. There is a bench next to the creek to enjoy the white water as the creek was still quite full after the big snowfall last winter. This resort has something for everyone.

Room Tip: Rooms with a patio or balcony are better for summer.
