We stayed in the basic cabins over Easter with friends, had a great time meet lots of new people and old friends, we also stayed over the Christmas period tenting for 3 weeks great place for kids old and young they all make friends and you never see them again till they are hungry, Nick and Haley are very friendly and accommodating.

Room Tip: We stay with friends so get the 2 cabins joined together up the back

After 15 years of staying at this camp then having a break and thinking it can’t get much better than it was it has. Nick & Haley the new owners have taken it to another level. What they have done for children has to be seen and this makes for happy parents who can get to relax. The camp is a lovely park setting with lots of trees for shade. Beautiful art work has been added including a fence mural around the pool and play ground. The facilities are among the best we have seen and Nick & Haley are true hosts.

Spent our last day in the South Island before catching the ferry in a lodge at the holiday park instead of the camper van, as the weather was poor and not so warm. We were delighted with the lodge as it had it’s own kitchen, bathroom and TV. The lodge was well equipped and warm, I would definitely stay there again but you need to book during high season.

Was very impressed with the cleanliness of the amenities, the standard cabin suited our needs and it was nice to see attention to detail throughout, everything thought of and personal touches such as planters and Wooden Jandal sculpture added to the appeal of the place.

I love this place. Always clean and tidy, lovely hosts and great amenities. Fantastic lower budget accommodation. Cabins are really nice with double bed and bunks. Would be awesome for families on a budget... and even has a TV!
Definitely my "go to" for Picton now!!
