Wonderful place to stay while you enjoy your visit to Whitefish. I like the ambiance of the lobby and the beautiful views of the lake and mtns. The lounge and restaurant are both good. The spa is always a treat. One of the best amenities is the shuttle service to town. SO convenient and the drivers are really good guys, as is all the staff.

Room tip: I prefer the main bldg for my stays

Great weekend getaway to whitefish lodge. Everyone we encountered was great: Sam in restaurant, Hillary in the spa, the valet gentlemen. Lovely appointed room. Breakfast was good. Sleep was great. Huge bathroom and comfortable soaking tub. Beautiful views from lakefront room. Enjoyed morning outdoor Hottub soaks.

A great place to stay when in Whitefish. Overall, the rooms were comfortable and as described. We had a quiet room and a delightful stay. We did have a microwave, fridge and sink in our room. However, no utensils or dishes except for wine glasses and coffee mug. The meals in the lounge were tasty and reasonably priced. I did not like that all the parking spots were blocked off near the check in and there was an expectation to use the valet service, when checking in.

Room tip: View room of the lake but it will cost more...

We started out with a partial lakeview room and upgraded immediately to a full lakeview room. And we were super glad that we did. It's worth the $$$$….if you have an opportunity to make the change.
The less expensive rooms are definitely a bargain and you have full access to everything we did but not the views. This was a special vacation for us so I went for the views.

Rooms are very spacious. We could totally see a family or group staying in the rooms with multiple people. Only drawback was the shower. Super small and barely functional. And we are not large people, I promise!

Room tip: Choose the lake view rooms, if available. Makes a huge difference.

We flew into Minneapolis and rented a car one way, to finally finish up the last few states of my 50 state tour (final stop Oregon). We stayed at some very nice hotels and Airbnb's on the way but this was our favorite accommodation, by far. We also looked at The Firebrand Hotel before deciding on The Lodge. We were so glad we did. Very peaceful and quiet, with real wood burning fireplaces at the outside entrance and lobby of the hotel. Rooms were large, clean and quiet. Shuttle to town and back if needed but I chose to walk. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the Boathouse restaurant on the lake. Hope to be back someday.
