My brother and I long wanted to see Glacier Nat'l Park, and usual hotels were either booked, kind of steep in price for what was offered, or just without enough amenities. Research here revealed this vacation rental, and, along with the posted photos, descriptions and reviews, it just seemed like an amazing place to stay. On arrival, and through the stay, the word amazing was just not amazing enough!

The owners have clearly put their love and dedication into this place, and, as a traveler who likes to stay as much as possible at a home away from home, when on the road, you couldn't ask for more in staying here -- every detail is attended to, with absolute care!

Beautiful kitchen, with every possible tool and gadget to cook to your heart's content, fire pit as well as propane BBQ, delicious well water, all appliances, fully appointed bathroom with great water pressure and a terrific tub and shower, beds that were better than the best hotels, a huge TV, entertainment from Dish Network, a Blu-Ray player if you brought movies along (which we did) and, the best part, all of this wonderful retreat is just ten minutes from Glacier National Park, making this a launch pad for your stay that sacrifices nothing whatsoever in terms of comfort and amenities.

Needless to say, this is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED place to stay, and, for sure, we'll be back to explore the National Park more, next summer, and this will be the place we will choose, without a doubt, for our stay.

Thanks Laura, for the BEST STAY EVER!!!

This trip was my first experience booking a cabin on TripAdvisor and I could not have been more impressed. It was an excellent launching point for exploring Glacier National Park. The owners of this cabin provided everything that you would want in a furbished apartment, including a day trip cooler and quaintly themed dishes.

The cabin is located on the main road which leads to the west gate of Glacier National Park which was very convenient. Access to the cabin was managed by a digital lock which meant that the entering was a matter of receiving the code from the owner before hand.

The water from the kitchen sink was a little cloudy, so we used bottled water for our primary drinking water. However, I used it to make coffee on a daily basis for 5 days with no ill effect, so I would not drop my rating for that. Given the opportunity I would stay here again.

Since they are located in the town of Hungry Horse, The Huckleberry Capital of the World according to local lore, the owners included a jar of Huckleberry jam which was very much enjoyed.

Management Response

Hi Steven,

Thank you for an awesome review! We are so happy to hear you enjoy your stay at Moose Creek townhouse at Lazy Bear Lodging.

I just wanted to clarify about the water. Our building is supplied by a well. We have a commercial grade filter in place to filter out sediment, chemicals etc. We also have a water softening system since the water is very hard in this area. We have filters on all the refrigerators for ice and water. We also test the water yearly since we are a commercial building/business.

Thank you for taking such great care of the the townhouse during your stay. You are a 5 Star guest and you are welcome back anytime!
Laura
