Take a long walk along the river and go as far as you want. We start at Gibson Park and usually walk to the lookout over the dam. On a hot day take lots of water although there are drinking fountains along the way. There are some picnic tables also along the way, so you can stop and enjoy the view.

This a good place to get out for a walk and see the way the city got its name.
It is a well maintained trail with rest spots along the way and various places to park if you only want a brief walk

Very nice trail right behind our hotel. Quite a view of the river and lots of information about the local area.

We took an early morning stroll from the Lewis and Clark Information Center (it was not open yet when we were there) down to the Giant Springs fish hatchery. It was a lovely riverside walk - lots of birds to see, fish jumping, etc. Lovely!

This is a nice walking, running, jogging or bicycle trail along the Missouri River and you can walk for miles on the trail. Very attractive scenery and you can fish in several places if you want to on the river. A nice place to walk your dogs also.
