Our extended family (6 kids, 8 adults) had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The backdrop of the beautiful Montana landscape provided a great week of fun and relaxation. Overall, it was a lovely visit, but I think there are a few things that could make this home go from very good to great. Not trying to be picky, but I really value honest and thorough reviews from past guests, so here goes!
We all really liked the layout of this house. Plenty of space for 3 families to have their own space, yet come together. Kids spend time in the lower level and adults had plenty of room to hang out. Bathrooms in each bedroom were key and made things very easy for all. Location was phenomenal. The kitchen is awesome and worked well to cook large meals in.
The house says it can sleep 22, but we felt that more than 10 adults in the house would be tough. 8 spots are bunkbeds and another 4 spots were couches which in our opinion are good for kids only. Mixed reviews form the adults on how comfortable the beds were.
One big thing to note is that the internet is SUPER SLOW. If you need to rely on internet for work, beware. It's not high speed and many folks who needed to take calls and get work done wound up using a ton of their phone data.
There were many things that I would list as "housekeeping improvement opportunities". Again, not to be picky and meant to elicit and defensive response from the owner, but stuff we were disappointed in given the $500 cleaning fee on top of an expensive per night rental. For example, upon check-in, there were old coffee grounds left in the coffee maker, trash in multiple baskets around the house, pillows left on floor in the bedrooms (beds were made up), bathrooms without soap, kleenex boxes empty, no spare toilet paper in some bathrooms, dirty pots and pans, and one bathroom with towels that were folded and put away damp which rendered them usable due to sour smell). The cleaners were still there at check in and it seemed as though they could have used more time. :)
The house needs some minor maintenance. The grill was absolutely filthy and we spent a good hour cleaning it before using it, hot tub didn't have enough water, railing on deck has missing slats, running toilet, and broken door frame and handle, etc.
Note that there is a neighbor about 25 feet away. They weren't an issue for us, but pics make it looks like you have a huge yard. No grassy area or backyard for kids to play either.
This is a wonderful home for a large group. Location is perfect for phenomenal views. Plenty of space to relax in front of a fireplace after skiing, Also the hot tub and sauna were a special plus. The kitchen, dining area and bedrooms were perfect for the 12 of us. The house was very clean and Beth was most helpful in assisting us. We highly recommend this house.
The house was just as pictured, it worked perfectly for our four families. There was plenty of room and large kitchen to cook in. The owner provided great customer service and gave suggestions on provisioning the house, restaurant recommendations, etc. The property management was very responsive. We were fortunate to have a lot of snow and enjoyed the mountain. Because of the snow, the dryer vents were blocked but management came to clear it within hours and had no issues after. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or relative and will probably visit in the next few years.
Fabulous house with lots of room in a great location in Moonlight Basin. Great amenities nearby in Moonlight Basin with beautiful views of the mountains from the back porch. Well-managed property and would definitely recommend this house to a large family group or several families.
