My family has been to Weston, Missouri, several times for shopping and festival weekends and every time we go a favorite place to visit is the Main Street Galleria and Upstairs Tea Room. We've been to the Upstairs Tea Room many times for dinner shows or just to grab a quick bite to eat and some homemade ice cream, as this is one of our favorite places to eat at when in Weston. It is also one of my top places to spend a fun date night that isn't the same old dinner and movie. The food has always been great and the friendly service and small town charm make visiting the Main Street Galleria and Upstairs Tea Room a must in Weston.

We like to get off the beaten path and away from fast food so we took a detour to Weston, MO and stopped in at the Upstairs Tea Room for a tasty experience. There were four of us - two kids and two adults. The kids menu features standbys like chicken nuggets and grilled cheese sandwiches served with chips, but actually had lettuce and fruit as a garnish. We each had their spinach/asiago quiche of the day with lavender lemonade and regular tea. The tea was fresh and wonderful. Having never tried a lavender lemonade, it was surprisingly delicious and refreshing. The fresh bread for the grilled cheese sandwich and that came with our meals was so tasty, we took a loaf home. But, you have to save room for their fresh baked pie. Oh, the strawberry rhubarb was so yummy, even the strawberry hater in our group had more than one bite. The service is a bit slow, but everything was really good and freshly made so we had time to admire the antiques everywhere and browse the nifty store downstairs. Don't go if you are in a hurry. Lots of high chairs for the baby crowd. We did not see an elevator for someone who is challenged by stairs so be aware that the only way to get to the Upstairs Tea Room is by going up a set of carpeted stairs. It is worth the climb.

We were very disappointed with the food. The atmosphere was wonderful but the food was lacking. Huge portions, but bread was heavy, beef was not seasoned and was tough. Sometimes, less is more.

Someone had told us about the small town of Weston, Missouri, so we decided to get off the highway and see what was there. We parked and saw a sign indicating a tea room upstairs and thought it sounded like a good possibility. They had freshly-baked potato bread loaves (which they sell) on the tables to cool as we walked up the stairs. From a special chicken salad, to quiches to egg salad to three-cheese grilled cheese and much more, you should be able to find something homemade to your liking. Although we didn't have dessert, they had some wonderful sounding desserts, one of them being bread pudding with their own bread. They also serve local wines and beers. A nice treat in a small town.

The food here is excellent. We had a party of 10 and everyone enjoyed everything they ordered. Prices are very reasonable. The service was a bit scattered, but we did have a big group.
