By far hands down one of the best staffed hotels in Saint Louis! I arrived with my family for an overnight stay before we headed out over the weekend... Never have I been made to feel more comfortable and welcomed when checking in than when I came here! Also HUGE bonus was the free shuttle Which the driver was absolutely professional, friendly, and recommended a fantastic restaurant in the vicinity... this to me speaks volumes about the customer service and management! The evening manger was extremely friendly and helpful when we tried to purchase snacks for our trip and the machine was down, she took care of our snack bill without blinking an eye! I was extremely grateful and offered to pay for it but she refused and stated it was an error on their end so it was on the house...

The delightfulness of this hotel did not stop at its staff, the rooms were clean comfortable and met our expectations.

You can truly tell that the people enjoy their job because it shows in the hotel...
I definitely recommend staying here and plan on using this hotel for future stays in the Saint Louis area!!

Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Everything about our stay here was positive, especially the deep sleep my husband and I each had. Crystal, the front desk manager, was awesome. I was amazed at her ability to handle multiple calls/interruptions simultaneously, always with a smile on her face. Other staff we crossed paths with always greeted us and would assist us readily.

Our rooms were perfect, with a comfortable sofa and beds. Even though we were near the elevator, we weren’t disturbed by it. And the shades blocked out all light. I was excited that we had a partial view of the Arch!

We stayed on a Mixer night so we stopped by the lounge area expecting to go out afterwards for dinner. There was no need! The provided dinner included both chicken breast and/or veggie burgers on rolls with assorted toppings. There was a fresh spinach salad with cukes, craisins and sunflower seeds with either ranch dressing or a vinaigrette. The best was a large fruit salad with perfectly ripe cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, oranges and pineapple. Chips, soda, water, beer and wine were also provided. The lounge area was comfortable with a fireplace taking the chill away.

Breakfast the next morning included Canadian bacon, both scrambled and hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurts, waffles and an array of breads.

Other reviews mentioned the hotel was hard to get to and in a sketchy neighborhood. We found it easily, but agree it’s on the outskirts of the city in a commercial area. I went out to the car several times after dark to get things from the car but never felt unsafe.

I liked the free shuttle concept. Had we been visiting the city rather than passing through, it would have been a great help.

We stayed at this hotel last night. The only thing good was the front desk service. One elevator was broken so only one running for all 8 floors. The hot tub was broken, pool was a funky color too. Things were broken in the suite we were in also...the WiFi was horrible. Not the greatest part of town either. Would not stay there again.

4 friends and I stayed at this property on a Friday night. I have stayed here many times before. I have read other reviews and we had several of the same issues..only one elevator working, the 3 televisions were on when we arrived but never worked again. Glasses in the cabinet with lipstick on the rim, plus only 2 glasses and 2 coffee cups were there. This is a suite with 3 beds, two baths. The sink in one of the bathrooms was super slow to drain and even ended up over flowing. Having mentioned these problems, I want to say I did call and speak to the manager. She acknowledged knowing there are issues and was very unhappy about the problems we experienced. I have watched the quality and organization at this property deteriorate for a couple of years but it is a lovely hotel and has recently been updated.
Based on what the manager said she is getting done, I will give them another try! When it’s good, it’s very good! Great location, shuttle is a plus, nice breakfast area. I think I a manager who is willing to tackle the issues, train staff and “drop in” during housekeeping hours, can get this straightened out.

We stayed two nights in a two-bedroom suite for a wedding, which was a hotel block for guests. Note, the price was not reduced, but we did receive free parking and a designated shuttle to/from the reception. I'll try to summarize in a concise manner.

Pros:
The location is very convenient to the interstate, Ballpark Village, and many downtown destinations.
The free shuttle was terrific for a 3-mile radius. The vehicles were large and clean, and the drivers were friendly and knew the area well. Spencer was a delight on Friday night. I'm sorry we didn't get the name of our designated driver for the reception, but we were so grateful that he knew the area, as there was a serious 5-car accident and at least a dozen emergency vehicles, so we had to be re-routed significantly to get to the destination.
The fitness center had very nice equipment.
The two-bedroom suite was large and the beds were comfortable, etc.
We found the staff in general to be friendly and helpful.

The Cons:
Some of our party had to sign an agreement acknowledging "party rules" and behavior for the property, which we found interesting. Yet, each night when we arrived back at the hotel between 11pm and midnight, we were greeted just inside the front door - in the bar area - by at least 30-40 people with kids of all ages in pajamas, blaring music, and screaming and running around. We were astonished that the front desk people permitted this kind of behavior and representation of their property.
It's an 8 story hotel and one of the two elevators was out of order. We questioned during our wait if the repair person couldn't arrive until Monday, but a long-term resident said it had been out of order for over two weeks. The wait for the elevator was often over 10-15 minutes, and people were seen trying to drag their suitcases and coolers up/down eight flights of concrete stairs. I cannot imagine how a hotel can be permitted to have an elevator down for that long.
As other reviewers mentioned, the neighborhood seems a bit questionable, and the steel security fence only reinforces that image. There is no pretty view from the hotel ... although it's convenient, there is a train yard on one side and the interstate on the other.
Having a full kitchen is nice, but the fridge ice maker is terribly slow, so they recommend (walking) to the first floor to the only ice maker to fill your basket and then (walking) back up to your room with it (because it would melt while you wait for the elevator).

With a college student in St. Louis we visit there often, and although I'm a Marriott rewards member, I won't be back to this property again.
