I wanted to visit an Italian restaurant that puts me in the mind of outside dining in downtown Chicago, and this was the place. Located in the Delmar Loop, and with welcoming and great service by Chico, the remainder of the evening was sure to be great. The service was at the right pace. The bread was served hot. The Caesar salad was excellent, along with the plentiful serving of lasagne. For $23, I'd do it all again and definitely encourage you to!

This place has it all - excellent food, excellent service, and great ambiance. I love the laid back feel. And great location, especially if you're staying at the Moonrise like we were.

We actually ate here twice in several days! The first night was terrific. We got the Brussels Sprouts appetizer, which is outstanding. Piping hot, served in a skillet with sizzling onions, garlic, pancetta pieces and a few slices of cheese, this was a great appetizer. And the pasta bolognese was one of the best bolognese dishes we've had at any Italian restaurant, not just in St. Louis. Pasta was just the right texture, sauce was tasty, meaty, just a hint of sweetness, and nice and thick. Just delicious. Salad (Caesar) was also very good.

And just outstanding service. Our server, Lauren, said it was her first night. You'd NEVER have known that. She was just excellent, checking on us at the right times, refilling dishes, etc. Even the young man hosting who seated us was great, a really personable guy who made us feel welcome the minute we entered the restaurant. And it didn't end there, either. Every single staff member acknowledged us, engaged us, and made us feel truly welcomed.

The second night we returned, the food wasn't quite as good as the first night but still more than solid, we just got different dishes is all. Still got the great Brussels Sprouts appetizer, but this time got spaghetti and meatballs and chicken scalloping. Both were very good but just not great like the bolognese was. But we ate at the bar and Reagan, our bartender and server, did a wonderful job. She even made us a drink she hadn't made before (French 75) and absolutely nailed it based on the recipe we found. She was really personable, we had a great time talking to her and interacting with not only her but again other staff/managers. They were all truly kind and generous and welcoming.

This was one of very few Italian restaurants that satisfied on multiple levels. This was a fun restaurant to eat at and we will definitely return when in St. Louis.

We arrived at about 1:30pm on a rainy Wednesday and had the entire place to ourselves ... which was sad, because it was an amazing meal. We started with Roasted Cauliflower (which was purple and yellow) and the special salad with large ripe blackberries and goat cheese. I had the Melanzana appetizer for my meal and my husband had the Bolognese. The meal came with warm bread. All dishes were amazing. I wish we lived closer, so we could try more ... but it gives us something to look forward to when we return to St. Louis.

We went for dinner with friends at Tavolo V on a weeknight. This was our first visit; our friends have dined here numerous times and recommended this venue. For those who know Italian in St. Louis, there are a couple of hints on the menu (DelPietro, Sugo) as to the ownership and operation of this restaurant. All good.

We ordered drinks as we looked at the menu and were pleased with the wine, beer and mixed drinks options. The food menu is also very attractive.

We sat outside and were pleased with that choice however the tables are not appetizing. They are obviously made of a porous material and don't appear to be clean.

We ordered pastas and salads, everything was very good. We will be back again.

TV is easy to find and at a good location for people watching. There's also a surface parking lot adjacent to the restaurant to the East.

A menu with mostly Italian selections. Large portions, which they will split for sharing with your partner. Convenient location , just east of the busy Delmar Loop. Outdoor side walk dining open when appropriate. All selections tried have been very good.
