We were traveling from Florida back to MN over spring break and wanted the kids to experience the Arch. I searched hotels in the are with a view of the Arch and chose Hampton Inn. The front desk staff were friendly and joyful and the lobby was very welcoming! Our room was wonderful, super clean, smelled nice, fully stocked and pillows fluffed! I will have to say the best part of staying here was the complimentary breakfast. They have eggs, bacon, fruit, waffles, cereal, muffins, good tasting coffee and a good selection of creamer. The breakfast area is on a level of it's own with plenty of space and they even have an area near the stairs for small children to eat and play. The staff kept the area fully stocked and clean throughout breakfast. I highly recommend this place!

More affordable hotel with free hot breakfast and great location near the Arch. Breakfast was good, they had different hot food every day and same cold food. $15 a night to park in the parking garage, beware it's a little small & tight for bigger cars & we had a 3rd row SUV. Some cars doubled parked because space was a little small. Staff was very friendly and nice & hotel was good & clean. House keeping is awesome and works hard so don't forget to tip them. Their market pantry is over priced so make sure you bring your own drinks & snacks. Sign up for the free Hilton honors program so you could check in early & pick your own rooms. Arcade & workout room is very small, but I did like that everything was on 1 floor along with laundry room & pool. Next time I come back I would do better research not to go in the early spring time because it rained our entire trip so most of the time we spent in our hotel room & should have brought our winter coats & hats along with. There was a few construction going on so our walk to the Arch from the hotel was a little confusing to find & get too. Lots of restaurants near by within walking distance.

We spent two nights here. The hotel has been here a while and has a little wear and tear but is in good shape. They are undergoing some work on the main level, but it did not get in our way.

We were originally set to be on the 5th floor but at check-in we were asked if the 11th would be okay. It certainly was. We had a great view of the arch and the Mississippi River. Room was a standard Hampton room. There was fridge and coffee maker. The wifi was fine for our non-streaming needs. There were plenty of ports and plugs for charging. Water pressure for the shower was very good. The shower was a little slow to drain but nothing that left you standing in water while drying off.

There is on sight parking. It is three floors and is very tight. There are numerous spaces with odd entry angles and the total amount of parking isn't that large. One night when we came in around 9:00 pm and we got to the top parking level after having no luck on the first two. We were really getting concerned as to where we were going to park the car for the night but luckily there was one open space on the last level.

The hotel was very crowed with spring break families like us but other than the pool floor and the breakfast area, it was quiet. Due to the crowds, the elevator service was often very slow. Breakfast was a standard Hampton breakfast and got us started off on the right foot every day.

Nice place to stay. If I was back in downtown St Louis, I be happy to stay here again.

You can tell the hotel recently underwent some renovations. Irish pub/bar attached to hotel and parking ($15/day) is underneath the hotel. Garage elevators take you right to your room floor which is nice.

Pool, small arcade and fitness center were all clean and well maintained.
Staff if very helpful and polite.

Location is perfect! Right in downtown and easy highway access as well as walking distance to the Arch (5-7min walk.)

Breakfast is included with your stay but don't expect a large selection.

Only two issues; 1.The AC went out on our 2nd night (it was so HOT) but the hotel took reasonable measures to rectify the situation. 2. The elevators are slow. It's an old building so make sure you plan for a few extra minutes, especially if you need to use the elevators when most people are checking out.

All in all, I would recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: Arch view is beautiful!

The staff made our stay. Everyone worked well as a team. This hotel is ran by professionals. There wasn't a day that went by that we weren't greeted with a smile, hello or short conversation. Staff including maid service, parking, maintenance, front desk and breakfast crew. My profession is in marketing and this hotel is on point! We will return.
