Primarily chose this hotel due to its location - next to the Pageant. Really convenient, free parking, and nice neighborhood. Little shops and good eats down the street. Hotel was really nice, clean, and modern. Bed was comfortable, and staff were uber friendly. Nothing bad to say at all.

A very cool/hip hotel- nice welcome cocktail- rooms were quiet and well appointed. Rooftop bar was open and roomy. Much better wine selection than expected in the home of Bud!!

The catering for the wedding was very well done- ambiance very fit well for a small wedding - food was tasty and the wait staff very efficient.
Made for a great day!!

The welcome cocktail is a great way to kick off a weekend stay, glad you enjoyed it. I will be sure to pass on your kind words of commendation to our banquets department staff and the Chef.

We came here on an impromptu trip to St Louis. As soon as we checked in we received a cocktail that was very good. Hotel was very clean and we loved the moon theme throughout the hotel. One great safety feature was the keycard in the elevator. When you waved it over a panel for the floors for the rooms and if you didn’t have one you can only go to the bar on the 8th floor.

Our room was spacious and clean, the standing shower and whirlpool tub were surprisingly small. Also, the toilet was so close to the wall that your thigh was up against the paper holder. While the bar on the 8th floor could be heard in our room, there was a noise machine on the nightstand we used help drown it out.

This is one place we will definitely return hopefully very soon.

We are happy to have had you as our guest for your impromptu trip to St. Louis and would love to have you back. There are a lot of St. Louis attractions near the hotel, such as the St. Louis Zoo, Science Center, and the Art and History Museum, if you are looking for a reason to return.

Thank you posting your review!

It was a pleasurable experience. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, and nicely stocked with toiletries. Powerful overhead rain shower. Free WI-fi and good cable selection. Comfortable bed and pillows. Coffee tea service in room.
The only thing I did not like is the single sliding door that covers either the closet or adjacent bathroom. It emits too much light from bathroom even when closed as well as shower noise. But that's minor (for some). The neighborhood has interesting restaurants, coffee purveyors. Parking is free behind the hotel (valet is available).

My boyfriend and I spend just one night at the Moonrise when we visited St. Louis to see a show at Delmar Hall. We were greeted with a cocktail. I knew right away it was my kind of place because of the dog-guest greeting bowls with treats for Fido. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. The hotel was space-themed with the owner’s toy and memorabilia collection on display. The roof-top bar had planets and stars hanging from the ceiling. The hotel restaurant was a little pricey, but breakfast was delicious.

Hotel was a three minute walk from the Delmar and was surrounded by great restaurants. Free self-parking in the back was a downtown bonus.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience at Moonrise Hotel! If you enjoyed the owner’s collection of toys and memorabilia make sure to stop in at Blueberry Hill on your next visit for a bite to eat or drink and spend some time looking around there as well.
