We missed the brunch and wish we would have made reservations. The original house wood work is incredible. The art is separated into the permanent collection and changing collection. The library in the basement is lovely. The kids artwork was a joy to view during our trip.

What a great way to spend a few hours! This museum exceeded all of my expectations. It contained a wide variety of all types of art. I was highly impressed.
In addition, you get to see the old house, and the basement too.
Do not even hesitate thinking whether or not you should come here. Jump in your car and just go there.

BUT, let start out by saying that I actually enjoyed visiting this museum. The Kempers and their foundation have done a terrific job of gathering collections to exhibit. The artwork runs the gamut from traditional oil on canvas to some of the newest techniques. Don't forget to go downstairs to see the library and private saloon! An added benefit was that because they were setting up for a banquet, we were able to ask questions and were allowed by the staff to walk through a portion of the original Albrecht mansion. The house is not part of the museum, the museum was added on to the back of the mansion. It was a real treat to walk through some of the rooms with the original furnishings and get a feel what it might have been like to live there. P.S. Entrance to the museum is at the back of the property.

Always an enjoyable outing that exhibits a fine permanent collection plus rotating exhibits of great interest. Our group this time fortunate to have new impressive curator give us the history of the original house and the museum's history. Lunch in pretty setting available certain days.
