I brought an entire group here while in KC to shoot a music video and the frontman of the band found huge, visible bed bugs in his room on his last night. I had to move my entire crew to another hotel at 2am on 7/22/17.

Breakfast is a joke- granola bar, package of oatmeal, packaged muffin, coffee. No ice machine- suppose to make your own. Also did not like that you had to request kitchen stuff-very inconvenient- royal pain.

I had to wait in the lobby until 3:00 pm to check in. There was no housekeeping staff during my stay so no beds were ever made up, no clean towels, no garbage emptied. TV did not work. Front desk was often not staffed.

Can't even decide where to begin... Took two long calls to even confirm, and still couldn't get a crib for the night for our baby. Nothing offered to replace it either. Arrived and could barely understand the girl checking us in and felt like I was bothering her. Moved some furniture in the room to lay out our mat for the baby and it was so dirty underneath. Hadn't been even vacuumed for weeks I'm sure. Big burn mark on the carpet. The party started about 10 pm, three doors down, so loud we could hear it plainly in our room. A bunch of thugs screaming at a couple who was fighting. Took it to the hallway and up and down it, past our room for hours. Liquor bottles, garbage and butts strewn everywhere in the parking lot the next morning. "Breakfast" was a handful of packaged muffins and some stale granola bars thrown out in baskets in the lobby. No utensils, plates,silver, cookware or ANYTHING stocked in the kitchen, lights not working/broken, no shampoo... At checkout, the only words spoken were, "ya git yer receipt online from 'spedia". Literally, all that she said and I had to ask her to repeat it as I had no idea what she said the first time. Tripped over a Captain Morgan bottle and and empty Dr. Pepper can on the way to the car.
I spent the money to have a safe, nice place to stay in KC for my family, rather than stay at one of the many cheaper places available. Unbelievable, it was the worst place I have ever stayed, bar none, and the people there could care less.

We happened upon Extended Stay after an unpleasant experience with check-in at the Best Western. This is where Priceline "express deals" landed. For the price - it's perfectly fine. But it's very, very basic. One thing I can tell you is that it's very clean. We had a 2-queen bed room. Everything in the room was clean. However, there were no cups, no hair dryer, minimal towels, no TV guide, just minimal. The beds were on the harder side of comfortable, but weren't terrible by any means. The "free breakfast" isn't breakfast - just a heads up on that one. If you're expecting a meal, you're in the wrong place. They literally set up a small table near the lobby with coffee, Otis Spunkmeyer wrapped muffins, some wrapped granola bars, and packets of oatmeal. It's very no frills. The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful. There's nothing that I have against this location at all, it felt safe and secure, clean, and close to the plaza. But if you're wanting anything beyond a place to lay your head, you probably don't want to try this location.
