This is a wonderful art museum with a range of collections to satisfy most art lovers. The museum consists of the original 1930's classical Beaux-Arts building and the 2007 modern Bloch Building addition. During our visit we had the opportunity to see two special exhibitions one of Picasso and the other of artifacts from a Chinese Han Emperor burial site. The Picasso exhibit is only being shown in the U.S. at this museum. A cafeteria style lunch is available in the Beaux Arts building in the beautiful 15th Century Italian style Rozzelle Court.

Im blown away every time I visit this exceptional Museum. This winter season I was lucky enough to encounter the Exhibit Through the Eyes of Picasso which was a unique collection of Pablo Picasso s personal african collection which had a tremendous impact on him to depart from classical painting. It was an extensive show that traced the influence of the aboriginal style that pushed him into an hitherto unforseen method as yet unwitnessed by the world. Very well appointed, fascinating.

This museum is a must do! They have an amazing collection of art, displayed in a beautiful setting. They often host special displays (though more often then not, these special showings require a ticket) and have many events. The museum is free! If you go, don't forget to check out their outside exhibit - it's spectacular!

This museum has cool architecture with an old part that feels very stately and a new part that is very modern, light and airy. They also have a very nice courtyard where you can enjoy lunch, tea or a snack. They have a very nice collection here with a lot of variety.
