This was by far our worst overnight experience on our two-week road trip. We booked this hotel knowing it would be a no-frills budget hotel. We stayed at three Motel 6's on our trip and this was the only one that had not been updated. Entire building smells like smoke, except the interior of the smoke-free rooms. But the second you step into the lobby or outside of your room, be warned. Based on signage and language from staff, it appears that safety can be a concern, so we were sure to park in a well-lit part of the lot. We used our own sheets and pillows, room didn't seem overly clean. In hindsight, we would have definitely splurged to stay somewhere else if we had been more aware of the condition and location of the hotel.

We've had one of the worst experiences during our 2 nights stay. We checked in the room #119 and the sink was clogged. The employee tried to unclog it for quite a while (she was really trying and was cooperative) but with no success because the sink needed professional maintenance. So we had to move to another room (#110) with an apology from the employee. Yet, the room #110 had a bad refrigerator which first didn't work and then worked "too well". As a result our food was over frozen and perished(about $25 loss). What else... it took us 30 minutes to move to another place and we lost our time and patience. I guess, the next morning I was talking to another person who seemed as a manager or an owner(because he gave orders) and he asked me about the experience. I told him what I write him. I didn't see much compassion and understanding from him except for standard "oh, sorry". And that's it. Our independence day vacation was spoiled.
Since we left Hannibal, Missouri, we were trying to avoid "Motel 6" hotel because of this terrible experience. I'm quite positive that that particular enterprise needs urgent renovation of electricity and plumbing infrastructure!!!!

Room Tip: Just don't stay there until the owner renovates the hotel's infrastructure

Only had one night as we were passing through, that was probably enough. Room was spacious, king sized bed, very soft. Walls are thin, bathrooms need major upgrading , no coffee maker in the room. There was no tea/coffee available until the morning, then there was only coffee. No breakfast is offered, has an indoor pool, not heated. Upside it was quiet.

Stayed at Motel 6, Hannibal, May 25th - 28. The outside appearance is very appealing. The inside is neat, tidy, clean and smells fresh. Our room was clean and very well attended. The owners are concerned, cordial, friendly and are updating all the time to imporve the motel for the benefit of their guests. The 'indoor' poor is most adequate and as every thing else, very clean. As usual an important part of a motel stay is the staff. These are the stars of the show. Kim and Stacey could not have been any more helpful, concerned and friendly. A sense of humor goes a long way with me. Cost wise it is the best value in the Hannibal area. Very close and easy to get to down town Hannebal. Our stay could not have been any better, thanks very much to all, even Danny. Our experience was great.

This is one of the best Motel 6 has to offer. A bare bones accommodation at a bare bones rate. As always our two Golden Retrievers were welcomed with no fee and the rooms available for pets are located on the ground floor near an entrance. The number of pet rooms may be limited so call ahead. Great location right off US 61. A nice looking restaurant is located adjacent to the motel, unfortunately it was closed for Easter Sunday. However, nearby, fast food, pizza, sit down eateries, and a very large grocery store are available.
Spotless room and a nice bed, highly recommend.
