Popped in to this fabulous establishment last weekend for a bowl of soup. We were presented with the most delicious French Onion spoup (indistinguishable from the one we had tried in Montmartre some months ago) and 2 warm bread rolls each, We had a pot of tea for two and augmented the soup with a yummy cheese scone. The service was friendly, the staff knew exactly what they were about. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.
Also the shop is great! Everything from quality cards to quality cuts of meat, and some exciting-looking bread. Along with wide range of pickles, mustards, spreads
and other delicious possible gifts (if you can avoid eating them before you give them away!

We visited quite early in the morning, having been a couple of weeks earlier to order our meats for Christmas we were now collecting our order and having a breakfast at the same time.
Service was good in the cafe although to be fair it wasn't too busy. The choice on the menu is good we had eggs benedict which was delicious plus Good coffee and lovely far reaching views.
The butchery is reason in itself to visit here. Everything is of top quality. We had a large rib of beef, a ham joint and some cracked black pepper sausages... everything was absolutely delicious and we will undoubtedly return. The shop has a good selection of. Produce too, we particularly like the bottled beers !

We visited at lunchtime and chose Croque Madame and a gluten free roll filled with cheese and onion chutney. Both were good sized portions and were very tasty. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff were aware of the needs of a Coeliac. It was warm inside and there was sufficient space between tables to make it comfortable.

Visited with my husband today and took the opportunity to have a cup of tea and slice of cake in the cafe. I've been here many times for breakfast, lunch or a quick cuppa when buying produce in the farm shop. Great service and quality produce. Well worth a visit when in the area,
