Can't praise the property enough. Stunning location, quite and peaceful just what I wanted. Amazing breakfast every morning, great pool. And the host is fantastic. Roughly about 10 mins away or so from some really nice places to eat and drink. With a sat Nav very easy to find the place. Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time, just what we needed some where peaceful and to soak up the real countryside. 10 out of 10 hope to return one day.

Met at the door by Valerie (Owner) who invited us warmly into her home and showed us to our room. Then she invited us down to the sitting room to join another couple that had just arrived for a cream tea and give us a friendly lay down of her establishment and the area. Here we were informed about the use of the indoor pool and gave us some details of local eateries. She then went on to book tables that night for us. The rooms are very nice, some with baths or just showers. Plenty of tea and coffee available, with a fridge in the hallway with fresh milk for all to use. Breakfast was more than ample. You can choose from fresh fruit, cereal, cooked breakfast, toast or if hungry, a bit of everything. A really good start for the day ahead.

Just a note though, this is a lovely establishment, in a secluded location with a very warm friendly host...this is also a working farm, the cows need milking and of course the smell that comes with them.

We had a lovely couple of nights here and slept very well. Definitely a place to revisit. Thank you.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Welcomed by a cream tea, given lots of great local knowledge to help us find interesting things to do. Valery, the hostess, is absolutely brilliant.

Room is spotlessly clean, as is the whole place. Cooked breakfast can't be faulted. Swimming pool is not massive but perfectly adequate - good temperature, neither too hot nor too cold. Sauna has to be booked for use so haven't tried that yet.

I would definitely recommend a stay here - even the local country lanes aren't too terrifying!

Such a treat to have breakfast freshly made and hot. Nothing was too much trouble for val. If you visit, take note of her suggestions on the best places to go. Swimming pool wonderful. Bedroom really cosy. Lovely to have a shared fridge, to store food you may need. Guided tour at Pitt Isaac around doc Martin country was well worth the £10 each.

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely, from what we could see.

Wheatley Farm isn't the easiest place in the world to find but it is well worth the effort! A lovely period property with just four rooms let to guests, all (I believe) with en-suite facilities as well as tea/coffee making facilities.

Ideally located for the North Cornish coastline, and for those more adventurous the rest of Cornwall is easily accessible for a day trip.

Fantastic full English breakfast each morning and the owners couldn't have been more hospitable during our stay, offering advice on where to eat and what local attractions are worthy of a visit.

Oh - and don't forget the heated swimming pool and jacuzzi!

If I had to make criticisms they'd be the following:

1) They offer free Wi-Fi but due to the construction of the building it's not available in all rooms (wasn't in ours anyway). Valerie - use Google and search for 'TP-Link Powerline'. A couple of those would sort your problem out in minutes! :)

2) Not all rooms have a bath, and although we asked for one unfortunately we were gazumped by another guest who arrived the day previous!
