The people who run this establishment are rude! The rooms we received had a horrible smell. understanding they where smoking rooms. Then we wanted to cancel our second night and were told "you booked through Hotels.com not through us so too bad!" Needed to add another guest to our room and they would only accept CASH!!
Would never suggest or stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay away!! Look for a place in Oxford......

Overall stay was great. Helpful front desk and reservations were made week before with no problem checking in. I would have to say walls are thin, could hear the neighbors and their tv during stay. But nothing that couldn't deal with.

The breakfast was poor. Instant coffee- weak; limited pastries; one lone apple that was over-ripe. Otherwise a great experience. Innkeepers were immediately responsive to no cable signal and inoperable door key. See compliment below.

Room Tip: Best shower in a hotel ever! Usually showers have low pressure. My shower was brisk and hot. The room decor was tasteful, newly updated. Will return to ride bicycle on the Tanglefoot Trail.

Thanks staying at Americas Best Value Inn in Pontotoc Mississippi.
It’s an on going challenge for hotel industry to satisfy guests on choices of the breakfast items, where most guests are not satisfied with breakfast items.
According to our brand standards, breakfast is not a required item to be served by all properties. But still we try our best to serve our guests with complimentary continental breakfast which includes cinnamon rolls, assorted muffins, donuts or honey buns, cereals, milk, oatmeal, bread orange & apple juice and a national brand coffee.
But try us to recommend us with specific items you prefer so we can evaluate with other guests requests and can try to serve the best.

Don't stay here unless you have to!! One good point is the carpet has been removed and replaced with hard flooring but I don't think it has been mopped since it was installed. We used our socks as slippers and they were black on the bottom. Hopefully, soaking in bleach will get them clean but doubtful. The very small bathroom does not have a ventilation fan so everything in there get dripping wet and the towels always feel damp, even the hand towels on the vanity. The room gets a damp feeling too. Don't look at the bottom of the shower curtain. It is black. Probably mildew stain. The towels are dingy looking. The beds are not true size Queen or Regular. They are smaller than normal sizing. An extra (too much) fee is charged for animals but the owners need to tell people who bring their dogs to PICK UP AFTER YOUR ANIMALS. No one likes to see poop in the grassy area in front of the inside rooms. Or, for the high pet fee charged, the motel owners should pick up everyday. We paid the extra fee and picked up after our small dog. No one even knew we had a dog unless they saw us walking her. The bed linens were clean, the furniture dusted but don't look at corners or top of receptables and cords. Don't expect to look out a clean window either. I don't understand the lack of cleaniness in so many motels anymore. If it had not been very inconvenient, we would have tried a motel in Tupelo. Maybe one day, a better managed motel will be built in Pontotoc.

Room Tip: Inside rooms are quieter from road noise. Try to stay in Tupleo, MS until new motel is built..

This was a $49 dollar hotel at most and when I called to make the reservation I told the woman that I had 2 small dogs and she priced the room to me that way but when we got there I had to pay $20. a piece for the dogs. The lady at the desk told me it happens all the time. I paid almost 200.00 dollars for this piece of crap room just to go to a funeral. I have paid less than that for resort rooms at WDW.

Room Tip: Very smelly place.

This Reservation was made through Third-Party Website. Guest did not called the Property to make their reservation. Also there was a note in the reservation that, they requested Pet friendly room with 2-dogs. But on Check- in, the guest had 3-dogs instead. Hotel Charged $ 50.00 instead of $60.00 Hotel Pet Policy is $20 per pet per Night. Guest is responsible for the pet fees. All rooms at our Hotel are newly renovated and has new furniture, Bedding and Flooring which was completed on 03-15-2017.
Also our hotel had never displayed or advertised a Rate of $49.00 which is completely false information. Also we appreciate that the guest (Male) confessed on check-in, that they had 3-dogs instead of 2-dogs. The same guest had no issue or complain on Check-out. Reservation Clearly states that INCIDENTALS got to be paid by guest, which was clearly mentioned when the guest made the reservation through Third-Party. This is not a "RESERVATION RIP OFF".
We don't understand why the hotel is been rated low or blamed for no reason????
Following is the Reservation Details:
