We were eager to visit PM after a recent article about the new owners. We had also been told by several people PM was the "fanciest" restaurant in Jackson.
The restaurant does have valet parking. We chuckled b/c the "parking" is a strip in the middle of the street. It was raining, and perhaps they have parking further away in sunny weather, however, some of the passing traffic blared and cut it a bit close.

Onward...while pleasant, I would not use the term "fancy." People were in attire ranging from t-shirts and shorts to a dress and slacks with a polo. The servers had a friendly, casual interactive style.

The Oysters Rockefeller was one of the best we have ever encountered. Our only suggestion was some of the diced onions were still a bit raw, consequently biting. The presentation was ooh aahh and overall it was great.

The grilled artichoke was swimming in olive oil. Great flavor, just a bit too much oil.

My husband had the shrimp scampi special with squid ink pasta and proclaimed it very tasty. We ended the night with tiramisu, also well-executed by the kitchen.

PM is (to date) the best food we've had since moving to Jackson. With the talent of the new ownership, we hope they find their groove and kick it up a notch.

This restaurant has been a fixture in the downtown business district of Jackson Mississippi. Lately, it has changed management under the management/supervision of Chef Derek Emerson, Effie, and company. The restaurant menu has been renewed with Italian inspired cuisine.

So if you are guys are in the mood for some Italian inspired dishes I DO RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY YHIS PLACE!!!

My office is on Capitol Street and I eat here for lunch often. For several years now, and through a recent third change in ownership, it has been consistently very good, albeit pricey for lunch. Only recently have my wife and I been there for dinner twice, including earlier this week. Both times the food, service and atmosphere were terrific! My wife had outstanding grilled grouper and I enjoyed a tremendously tender, flavorful ribeye.

The new owners are all experienced restauranteers in the Jackson area, ala Walker's, 463 Local and Caet, and you can tell. The youngest of the new owners are Robert and Lauren Rushton and they are perfectionists, as well as great people. Parlor Market remains one of Jackson's finest restaurants.

We were in Jackson for an event at the medical school and ate here one night. I was not impressed with the food or the service. We had to wait over twenty minutes for a glass of wine! Food was not served to everyone at the same time. The place was full, and you would have thought the management would have planned to have enough wait staff. Food may have been good if served before it got cold. Interesting building. I do like to see these old buildings in Jackson used and redone.

We were greeted by a friendly waiter and let's be honest that draws everyone in. Food was on point and dessert was even better! Their wine and cocktails were also exceptional. Served by Dana (who is the best) we were not disappointed and would go back every night if we could!
