Overall a nice place. The room had plenty of space and was
well equipped with microwave and
small refrigerator. Front desk ladies
were friendly. Workout room
and convenience shop looked
good though I didn't use them.
Room was clean and bathroom had plenty of towels.
The location is very good, near
I-10 and there are a
variety of restaurants very close by.
The negatives for me were these.
•Heat/ac was strange at times and when trying to warm up the room it took a while and then I could feel cool air blowing.
•This is not limited to this hotel, but I am
just not a fan of paying $170 for a room and having dormitory style toiletries. I recycle a lot at home but when on a vacation stay, I want individual items.
•also not just this hotel but the toilet paper is getting so thin at most hotels
it is getting laughable.
•Finally, the room design is not my favorite. I am a light sleeper and the light from the bathroom shines into the bedroom when
one enters the bathroom before closing
the sliding door. There is
a big walk in closet that would
be a better placement of the bathroom, but obviously the designer didn't ask me and it is too late now.
Hard to explain without seeing the layout.
The breakfast didn't seem to offer a big choice but maybe I missed something, and I am not a big breakfast eater.
