The Village House Inn is really a good thing for Winona. My in-laws often visit from Cleveland, and they always stay there. It's immaculate, well-decorated, in a convenient location, and the whole place is just lovely and comfortable. Anne is happy to answer questions and offer suggestions. They actually prefer the self-serve breakfast, since it doesn't make them beholden to anyone else's schedule. It's also a great value.
I've also been to wedding showers there, and it's great to be in such a pretty space, and to have use of the kitchen. It was more intimate than if we had been in a restaurant or a hall. Perfect space for events like that !
The Village House Inn is a fantastic place to stay. It is so CLEAN and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The exposed brick and baby grand piano add to the lovely atmosphere in the common areas. The views of the bluffs are great. As noted in other reviews the only downside is the road noise but it wouldn't hold me back from staying here again. MUCH better than a hotel. Anne was accommodating and answered all of my questions prior to making our reservation. I highly recommend the Village House Inn.
Enjoyed our stay at the Village House Inn. Turned out we had the house to ourselves for the night. Per instructions on the website, we called Anne 30 minutes prior to our arrival. She met us at the house. Note that the managers do not live at the house and that the breakfast is a continental self serve style breakfast.
The home is beautiful with nice living area and surrounding area. Only negative at all is the traffic noise if you are staying in a room next to the front highway but it settled down.
The Village House Inn is beautiful inside and out. It was very comfortable with a variety of sitting areas. This would be a lovely place to stay for a group of friends, book club or just a couple.
MUCH better than a hotel, and better priced.
We stayed here during a weekend vacation.
It's lovely, well-maintained, clean, the continental breakfast is just what you need (foods from area coffee shops and bakeries), and simply better than staying in a hotel.
