From the beginning this booking was horrible. Took 1 month and 5 phone calls to advise staff our booking confirmation and information wasn’t received.
The staff argued, stating the email had been sent, when they had the wrong email address.
We were told it was an easy 1/2 beach 4wd from the barge to the accommodation, it is not. It’s a dry inland track as part of the beach access is permanently closed. There’s no readable signage in the dark.
On 24 December, we received a text to say the keys and information will be provided in a drop box out the front of the Castaways store.
Upon our arrival at night, there was no drop off box, keys nor envelop! Couldn’t call anybody for help, there’s no phone number or manager. Sent 2 unsuccessful emails.
The store condition and outdoor dining area is in poor dirty condition.
Our children were scared, there were no lights either.
Forgetting about clients arrival is completely unacceptable. This is a nightmare holiday experience.
Upon leaving after waiting for over an hour, a yelling man appeared, incomprehensible, inappropriately dressed, stating he forget to install a drop box, didn’t know about the booking, the “luxury” rooms don’t have keys, and was non communicative.
Complete waste of $750.00 for 2 nights accommodation. Forced to sleep in our car! Without food, dinner etc.
