I've stayed on 3rd Crow wing Lake for 40 years, and Big Timber for part of my stay for the past three years. The rustic cabins sit on top of a bluff with a sunset view. The benefits of this resort are its sandy weed free shoreline with no inshore drop off, and excellent new docks. Great for families with young kids. You have easy access to 3rd, 4th and 2nd Crow wing, and possibly 1st as well when the water is up. You can always find fishing away from the waterskiers. Bass averaging 3#, Northerns of 2-5# prolific, and large Bluegills and Crappies are abundant too. New owners Dave and Jerry appear very ready to please, and their new motors and rental boats are great. We have reserved again for next year.
