If you have a thing for arepas, delicious pulled pork South American style, fried yucca and plantains, and anything else that Venezuelan cuisine has to offer, then this is your stop! Do not miss this hidden gem located in Minneapolis as it serves up delicious food from Venezuela.

Have never been in the summer before so we were pleasantly surprised to sit in the lovely little garden next door to the main building. The food was fabulous and fresh and healthful. Staff was attentive and friendly. The menu is not large but what they do they do well. Very neighborhoody vibe too with lots of families biking and walking there from nearby.

I've visited several times and I'm always so happy with everything, the food and service are both outstanding!

The street food menu is great, I've had the chicken and pork, love them equally and all side choices are great. Yuca poutine is a fun twist with a super delicious pork gravy. Jambalaya is unique and flavorful.

Last and most importantly, arepas!! With cheese, without cheese, with honey butter...all of the arepas are amazing.

I went here with a group of co-workers for lunch. The food and service was phenomenal! The food is all scratch made in-house and authentic. I had the roasted pulled chicken with roasted vegetables and sweet plantains. The chicken was moist and the flavor was great. The chicken was garnished with pomme frites, pickled red onions, pico verde, cilantro aioli, and sriracha aioli. The flavors went together perfectly! If you are the "foodie" type that likes scratch made food at "mom and pop shops" instead of fast or chain food, then you must try Cafe Racer Kitchen.

I've been to Cafe Racer for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and brunch!). The owner, Luis Patino, has created a neighborhood haven serving up some traditional and non-traditional Colombian food. If you ask him, Luis will tell you about starting his dream with a food truck and then creating this cafe (both still in business). He and his friends made all the tables and benches by hand, and Luis and/or his wife Christine are nearly always there! Aside from the story, the food is divine - I haven't had a bad meal there, and each time I go, there is an added new item to the menu. The pulled pork, arepas and civic are my favs, but once I tried the putin, and now I can't stop! Ah, but can't forget the yuka fries - those are good too! In warm weather, there is an outdoor patio. Luis and Christine offer a FREE MONTHLY MEAL to anyone who comes by during the Break Bread Free Lunch - to encourage community conversation and giving back to the community. I can't say enough positives about Cafe Racer!
