Peking Garden is an awesome Asian place off of University. I love the pan fried noodles. I know that other people enjoy going there for the buffet lunch. The restaurant is clean, has parking space available, and the wait staff is attentive.

Love going here or getting food to go.

There's something for everyone at the buffet here, beef, chicken, tofu, veggies, pork and fish. Plus fruits, ice cream and cookies for desert.

Good variety of authentic Chinese food.
No surprises/reliable and consistent in quality.
The interior is , however, getting run down (and skip the restroom!!!!)

I was angry how little the food was and the price was so much. But then again, the food was great. Everyone must try their mussels in black bean sauce and very spicy. It's the best thing ever!!!

New to the area, and Peking Garden has become our go-to Chinese restaurant, especially when we don't feel like fighting traffic into Minneapolis. We found it to be one of the few late-night options in the area. And though it's location in the back corner of a run-down shopping center does it no favors, the place is often fairly busy, though because of it's expansive size, we've never had to wait for a table. The place does have a fairly extensive buffet, which we now skip after experiencing indigestion the last time we opted for it. The food doesn't seem to move quick enough, especially with so many option. ... BUT, we've mostly ordered off the menu, and I'm basing my rating on the menu items. Of course, it is an extensive menu. But I'll go over the items that we've really taken to. First, I'll say that the egg rolls are pretty good. They come two to an order, and have enough meat in them to give them a better texture and flavor than your average, cabbage-filled egg roll. The dumplings, both steamed and fried, are very tasty, and served with a tangy ginger and soy-based sauce. Chili sauce is available, and is usually on the table or on a nearby empty table. My favorite item off the menu is the shredded pork with pan fried noodles. These are Hong Kong-style and best eaten hot, as the noodles do lose their crispiness and get soggy if reheated. I prefer them to be served with bean sprouts and mushrooms, and it's wise to let them know that's how you want them, or risk having it served with Chinese broccoli (unless you prefer that). The beef fried rice is fairly good. We've ordered a ginger-broth soup that comes with roasted pork and noodles that is also very good. A few items we weren't impressed with: the orange beef is so heavily breaded some pieces just feel like fried breading. The beef chow fun has been short on beef both times we ordered it.
